Men have told the tales of treasure hordes, carried to earth's keeping by an ancient race. Wonderous wealth became a worms guarding. No man could enter until one proved worthy.

We have heard of the glory of the Kings of Atlantis, in days gone by. How those princes performed brave deeds, of Arthur the Mighty, of Heorot, great hall. Freely they feasted, faired well as each night fell. Forgot all troubles, no tales of terror or warning did they heed.

"Terror is coming!" said a fisherman.

"How?" asked Arthur.

"A creature dwells in darkness near, who hates the smell of human happiness. I have heard its sound."

"More idle tales." said Khan.

"Khan, look how the man trembles." said Grima Wormtongue.

"Demons of darkness, enough of this." continued Khan.

"Lord, I swear!" spoke the fisherman.

"Heorot is strong! It cannot be breached by such a fiend! Our banquet beckons." spoke Arthur.

"No more dreaming , friend." said the warrior, Sokka.

With that the king and his warriors eneter the hall.

"Treasures are in store! Rings and swords! I'll give rare joys, precious things, a prize for everyone." announced the king.

A demon from the depths endured that sound. With cruel torment the creature writhed! Roused itself from darkness, raged a joy! It could not rest until it wrecked this gladness. With stealth, the creature stole upon the slumbering hall of warriors. Grim and greedy, he grabbed them from their beds, thirty warriors and he was gone. The next night, and the next night, brought horrors new and howling, murder! Maddened with rage the man eater came! Hater of happiness he hurled his spite against Heorot! The hall was his boundary set by the heavens. Against King Arthur himself he could not rise. Here, Gollum became ruler. Torn with grief, for twelve dark winter, thanes sat under sorrow with fierce affliction. No warrior dared to ride, no hero came forth from that land in courage, there was none to champion Arthur.

Until, under the wave road, white sea, word reached a man among the Scots. His name was Macbeth!

"Gollum." He spoke upon his horse. "I'll fight this evil."

"What?" asked his king.

"I'll rid them of this terror."

"Our war like neighbors, the noble Atlanteans can deal with this. Stay by me."

"And I forget my fathers' name? Arthur saved his life."

"Macbeth, who knows if mortals can succeed? Beware my friend."

"Your blessings all I ask."

"Then go great warrior. Into the winds."

And so Macbeth left to fetch his warriors.

Thank you for reading.

Gollum is from 'The Return of the King' voiced by Brother Theodore. Until next time, read and review.
