It was a beautiful morning in Seireitei town. The sun was shining and the birds were singing.
"Good morning, birds!" said Gin as he walked to work.
Gin was the Captain of the Third Division, the happiest division in the Gotei 13. All day long the Third Division laughed and had fun. Gin was happy he was going to work.
Then, look! There was Rukia, the little sister of the Sixth Division Captain, Byakuya. Byakuya was scary, but Rukia was not scary at all.
"Good morning, Rukia-chan!" said Gin.
"I-Ichimaru-taichou," said Rukia. Then she ran away.
Wasn't that grumpy of her? You should always say good morning back when someone says it to you.
But Gin was not sad. He kept on walking, and then, look! It was Rangiku, the most beautiful lady in the Gotei 13.
"Good morning, Rangiku!" said Gin.
"Ow," said Rangiku. "How can you be so energetic? It's so unfair. At least you could have stayed to make me breakfast."
"But I did make you breakfast," said Gin. He reached into his coat and pulled out a small box and handed it to her.
"Is this just going to be full of dried fruit?" said Rangiku.
"Bye bye Rangiku!" said Gin, waving. He was very busy today, and it would be bad to be late.
He kept on walking, and soon he saw the Eleventh Division Captain, Kenpachi. Kenpachi was very big.
"Good morning, Eleventh Division Captain!" said Gin.
Kenpachi grunted, but then his daughter, Yachiru, appeared on his shoulder. "Good morning, fox face!" she said.
Yachiru was a very energetic girl.
"And how is Yachiru-chan doing today?" said Gin.
"I'm doing great!" said Yachiru. "Ken-chan made me breakfast and when I cut it all blood came out."
"Well, that sounds yummy," said Gin.
But then Kenpachi pulled out his sword and pointed it at Gin. "If you fuck with Yachiru I'll gut ya like a fish," he said.
Wasn't that grumpy of him? You should never threaten to gut people like a fish.
"Bye bye Eleventh Division Captain!" said Gin. "Bye bye Yachiru!"
Gin kept on walking, but then, uh oh! There was Byakuya, the Sixth Division Captain. He was very scary today.
"Good morning, Sixth Division Captain!" said Gin.
"Ichimaru," said Byakuya. "Did you speak to my younger sister this morning?"
Gin was confused. "Sixth Division Captain, I don't know what you mean," he said. "But I hope Rukia-chan is doing well!"
He waved goodbye to Byakuya and kept on walking until at last he reached the Third Division Office.
He opened the door, and there were Third Division Vice-Captain Kira and Fifth Division Vice-Captain Hinamori. They looked very happy today.
"Good morning Izuru!" said Gin. "Good morning Hinamori-chan!"
Hinamori did not say anything, but Kira said, "Oh my god—Ichimaru-taichou! I-I-I can explain, I just—you're never here before eleven—I'm so, so so sorry, I—"
"Don't be so anxious, Izuru," said Gin. "It's a beautiful morning, you know!"
He smiled. It was indeed a very beautiful morning.
