Chapter 1: Oh no! It's-a Disaster!

Mario's POV

"Mario…let's go for a walk." Princess Peach said, her and I having been sitting in the castle library for a good deal of time.

"Sure-a, Princess. Let's-a go."

We head out to the gardens and walk through the massive palace.

"I always love it here…it's so quiet and calming." Peach mused.

"Yes-a it is." I agree.

Peach softly took my hand and I smile. We had been in a relationship for a few weeks now and I was glad she was getting more and more comfortable with me as it went by. I stop, perking my ear to hear something in the distance.

"Mario, what is it?" Peach asked, surprised that I stopped.

"I think-a I know…but…if it is, I'm-a going to laugh." I replied.

Sure enough, the familiar, "MARIOOOOOOOOO!" was heard by Luigi, my younger and slightly clumsier brother, as he landed head first into the path ahead of us. I hold back my laughter as I head to see if he was alright. Peach giggled a little as I pulled him out of the ground.

"Luigi, what's-a going on?" I ask.

"Well-a…um…" Luigi rubbed the back of his head.

"Did Daisy get a little overzealous again?" Peach asks and Luigi just nodded, blushing.

I laugh slightly and shake my head.

"Come on-a brother. You have-a to get used to that if-a you are going to stay with her."

"I-a know Mario." Luigi replied softly.

Luigi and Daisy had been together for two months now and he was still getting sent flying like this. I sigh and brush him off.

"Since you are here, Luigi, walk with us?" Peach asks.

"Sure-a Princess Peach." Luigi smiles and we all start walking.

"What happened this time, Luigi?" She asks.

"Well…we were-a golfing and she accidentally hit me with-a the club rather hard…" Luigi says, showing the rather red bruise on the side of his head.

"That-a looks really bad." I gasped through my teeth.

Peach calls for a Toad and we stop to get Luigi fixed up a little. I notice Yoshi looking out over the garden walls and chuckle.

"That-a dino is-a so strange sometimes…" I say as Luigi nodded.

"He was-a doing that the other day too, when-a Daisy and I were here…wonder why?"

Peach headed over as Luigi and I followed

"Yoshi, what are you-a doing up there?" I call.

He just pointed towards the direction he was looking as I hop up to see.

"Oh no…not-a again…" I sighed, seeing sickeningly familiar flags on airships flying our direction.

"What is it?" Peach asks.

"Bowser again…" I sighed, with her following my example.

"Will-a he ever learn?" Luigi asked as I shake my head.

"Probably not. Come on, Luigi, let's-a get ready."

He nodded as we started off. I was proud of him, toughening up over the years. He hardly ever got scared and ran away now, unless it was something super scary that would even put me on edge. The main airship, with Bowser on it, landed in the garden, surprisingly missing all the flowers. Luigi and I stand ready to fight as the Koopa King stepped off.

"What do you want this time, Bowser?" Peach asks, still trying to be civil to her captor.

"Simple, Peach…" Bowser chuckled. "For all of you…TO COME WITH ME!"

He slashed at me and Luigi, but we jumped back. Surprisingly though, he only laughed.

"PERFECT!" The area he had slashed shimmers as a hole opened up under us.

"Oh no!" I gasped.

Bowser bellowed in laughter as he, Luigi, Peach, a few Toads, Yoshi, and I are sucked in. Whatever was in store wherever this hole led, I had better be on my guard if it sucked everyone, including Bowser, inside with us.
