A/N: I've been kind of emotional lately, and I know what it's like to cry when all of your tears have already fallen, so I used that for the first paragraph. I thought, alright, prologue time! I was going to wait until after school started, but I was so inspired that I started right now!

Hisui: Yay! But wait…Tenten isn't with me in this! Teh noes!

Me: Get over it.

Tenten sat alone in her room, crying to herself. She could not stop, and even when her eyes couldn't produce anymore tears, she continued to cry, despite telling herself to stay strong. The pain coursed throughout, both outside and in.

She finally opened her eyes, which had been squeezed shut because of her crying, and examined her body. There were bruises coating her arms and legs, and, if she lifted the sleeve on her right arm, she would be able to see the bleeding cut she had been left with.

Knowing she would have to stop the bleeding and cover the wound, she willed herself to get up, despite the searing pain that attacked her whenever she moved. She didn't dare cross the hallway to the bathroom to get any bandages, not if she didn't want to be seen. So she merely walked to where her very ripped towel hung on the door and ripped another strip off of it, making it even smaller.

She pulled up her sleeve and winced when she saw all the blood that had already been lost. She worked hard to secure the strip of cloth before sitting on the floor again.

She should have been strong by now, but years of being abused by her mother had passed and she was still just as weak as before, always crying alone in her room.

She was always alone, her mother hated her for she looked just like her father, who had abandoned them a very long time ago. Her heart had turned cold then and she chose to take out everything on the poor girl who had the misfortune of looking like her father.

She had no friends, she had learned long ago to keep away from the other children, or they could be the next victims of her mother's wrath. She was considered a freak now, for she always showed up to school featuring some new injury and she always kept to herself.

She was always alone, and she always would be, until, one night, her luck happened to change.

A/N: Well, there you have it, the basis for my next great story. I promise I'll update my other stories now, AND VOTE IN THE POLL ON MY PROFILE!

Hisui: Oh, Tenten, somehow we'll be together!
