Oneshots. I'm not used to making them and quite frankly, I'm not sure if this will remain as one. But I needed to warm up a little for a draft of my LH/B10 story, soooo... eh.

I know there's a crap ton of No Such Luck fanfics on this site, buuuuuuuut…. I just couldn't help myself. I hope my version, AU, whatever you wanna call it doesn't suck too badly.

Now... who's up for some secret agents/vigilantes? (What? You heard nothing from me)

August 11th, 2018: Top of Brooklyn Bridge, New York City - 9:02 pm

The clear sky.

The ocean.

A peacock.

And the bright glow of a bug zapper in the dark of the night.

These were random, yes, but there was one important detail from the combination of four.

The brilliant sky, the calm ocean, the elegant peacock, and the mesmerizing light from the bug zapper shared one thing in common.

They were all the color blue.

Blue, the color of sorrow. A color of tranquility. A color that complements orange naturally.

And currently, a pair of steely eyes adopted the color as well.

"How's it looking, Bugs?"

The owner of said eyes maneuvered their gaze away from the proud green statue and blinked, trying their best to get the cold feeling out of their eyeballs. When they no longer felt as if their pupils were going to freeze over, did they settle their gaze on the communicator watch wrapped securely around their wrist.

"Nothing so far, Nose-bleeder," he answered in a bored tone. However, his mood brightened a little when he heard a low groan sound from the small device.

"Dude, I thought we agreed to ditch that name a few years ago?" the voice of his associate complained with a hint of annoyance.

Even though his partner couldn't see him, the blue eyed figure, Bugs, decided to shrug anyway, "Sorry, Hercules. I was kinda bored," the faint amused smile disappeared off of his lips as he straightened up some, "Anyway, the night has been quiet so far. You sure these guys are coming?" he trained his eyes back on his target, and as an afterthought, added, "Who would be dumb enough to try to steal Lady Liberty anyway?"

"Apparently, these bozos," Hercules answered, the sound of typing and tapping emitting from his side of their communication, "According to their records, they've bagged 7 cars from Manhattan back in 2015. That and a few bank robberies in Brooklyn last year,"

Bugs couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at that, "And they suddenly want to swipe the Statue of Liberty?" he asked in slight disbelief, "Delusional?"

"Most likely," Hercules supplied absentmindedly, pausing his search. There was a moment of silence from his end.

"...Hey Bugs?"

"Yes, Herc?"

"You think Tigress is having fun watching over Flower?"

A snort left the focused young man, "Are you kidding me? This is Tigress we're talking about. She loves murals. And with little 'ol Flower there too?," he shook his head in amusement, "She's having an awesome time, Hercules,"

Snickering could be heard over the other end, "Yeah, you're right. I can't wait to teas-"

Light. It was faint, but he could see it.

Bugs slowly climbed to his feet, standing perfectly still on top of the highest point of the Brooklyn Bridge.

He made a mental note to thank both Hercules and Hound for the binoculars later. And lizard shoes. Their new upgrades suddenly made his night ten times easier.

"Hey Hercules?"

"-But then again, if I overdo the taunts then she might skin me alive so-"

"Hercules."

"-Yeah, that seems like the best o- did you say something, Bugs?"

"Yep," Bugs answered, popping the p as he squinted through the binoculars, "They're here. I see a light from the trees. It's pretty dim though,"

A pause. And then "Let me zoom in and get a closer shot."

The sound of typing resumed... followed by a loud click.

"It's them alright," Hercules confirmed, erasing any doubts of the light source. He sounded serious, "There're 18 of them down. 6 snipers, 12 field soldiers, and a truck load of nets. The light seems to be coming from 5 different large stage lights. I guess they were too cheap for new models, huh?"

"Seems like it," Bugs muttered with an eyeroll, "Idiots,"

Hercules spoke but what he said next caused both teenagers to wince.

"After this mission is finished with... you know what's next, right?"

Bugs froze. The news of their next mission had caused an outcry earlier today. No one had reacted well.

Tigress, aka. Ronalda Anne Santiago, had adopted a pure look of murder as cries of refusal left her mouth faster than one could say 'Pizza.' She hadn't exactly left on good terms with her older brother...

The color all but left Hercules', aka. Clyde McBride's, face, as the realization of returning to his distraught parents weighed him down like an anchor. He couldn't bare to see their crushed states after he chose to willingly leave them behind to accompany Bugs...

Genuine worry grasped Flower, aka. Lily, in it's mighty grip, while excitement balanced it out in near harmony. The fact that she could see her parents, her sisters again delighted her tremendously. But... there was the chance that they could discover her 2nd family and tear it apart. Break it like they had to her big brother... Was she ready to face that possibility?

The only one who wasn't affected as much as everyone else was newcomer Hound, aka. Rose Rivets. Nearly one year passed since she was recruited into the team and while she got along with everyone just fine, she didn't exactly have access to their full trust just yet. They trusted and respected her, yes, but hesitation still clouded their minds whenever asked about their past lives. And there was only so much Lily could share as a curious little 6 year old.

But Bugs... dear god... it felt as if he couldn't breathe. Him? Go back there? No way! Not after all the shit he had to put up with as a kid. He absolutely refused to go... at first... and reluctantly agreed to go after a truck load of convincing, promises, and learning just how urgent this mission was...

"Unfortunately."

Through the advanced vision of the binoculars, the men started to spread out.

"Alright, Herc," Bugs started with a frown, watching his targets' movements, "The Snakes are making a move, which means I should make one too. Switch to the headpiece and keep me posted, okay?"

"Aye, aye, Bunny," Hercules said, saluting through his end despite their different positions, "Switching... now! And... we'll get through this one, okay Linc?" he finished off softly.

Bugs, aka. Lincoln Loud, felt a faint smile tug at his lips, quite thankful for the support, "Yeah... we will, won't we?" His eyes then caught more movement, forcing him to lose that tiny smile, "Now I've got a job to do,"

Lifting his hand, Bugs let it run through his slightly messy white hair from underneath his black hood. His sharp sky blue eyes studied the scene before him, whistling a small tune.

18 fully grown men vs one enhanced 17 year old boy.

Seemed fair enough.

Closing his eyes, Lincoln took one step...

And fell off the bridge.

Now, no one would be crazy enough to do such a reckless thing unless they were suicidal. Or Lincoln Loud, of course. After all of the insane stunts he's pulled and missions he's breezed through, this was merely nothing more but a cakewalk.

6 years ago, he would've screamed his lungs out if he had been free falling at the time. But now at the age of 17, Lincoln simply smirked, the wind whipping at his face and hair.

Throwing his arms out from his sides, Lincoln patiently waited for the light fabricated flaps of his suit to flutter out and attach themselves from his arms to his legs.

Thoughts of Royal Woods and... that day briefly flashed through his mind... before he managed to squash them down and deep within his mind.

That could wait.

Right now, Bugs had a mission to do.

Good? Bad? Dunno?

Neither do I. *taps chin with an index finger* Should I write more or naw?
