She didn't have daddy issues, Lorna thought defiantly, staring down at her reflection. They may not share facial features, but the same power and blood flowed through them both. Her fingers traced the crystal blue water, creating rivulets in the ocean. She knew her father was the great Magneto, feared by humankind, as they should be, and revered or loathed by their own kind.
That was what was wrong, she thought. Their kind should all recognize her father's greatness and pay their respects. They should know he had died to save them, regardless of rather or not they deserved his sacrifice. Determination lined her pretty, young face as she struck the water with a fist. They would know, she decreed, and soon, the entire world would know that she was his daughter.
She rose, her resolve once again tightened, and lifted the one thing she had left of her father other than memories and legacy. She wore his helmet once more and spoke to his spirit that she knew accompanied her on every step of her journey, "I will make you proud, Father." She flew away from the destruction, determined to still bring in the age of Magneto and mutantkind.
The End
