I wrote it last autumn after the last episode was aired in the Hungarian tv and just typed it in. I hope you will like it! And of course I don't own anything.
Azad was walking up and down in front of the couch. It was already after midnight and both Tevfik and Can were sleeping. Ali rubbed his bristle covered chin and looked up at his wife.
"For God's sake Azad, stop this…"
When Ali Kirgiz said a sentence like this he usually said it with anger. But now Ali Kirgiz didn't have the strength to add some anger in his voice. He was too sad and tired for that.
Azad finally stopped and looked at her husband. She saw him this broken just once, after the death of Teffo. And now he lost two of his friends again. She didn't say anything, she didn't know what to say. She just sat down next to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. They didn't need to say anything. They felt the same pain and both of them knew words wouldn't solve anything.
As they sat there they heard a still alien sound in the house. Can coughed in his sleep. From the stairs Azad looked at Ali.
"How will we tell him?" she asked.
"I'll think about something…" Ali sighed as he still fixed his gaze on the rug.
Azad leaned back on his shoulder and waited. She knew soon Ali would speak. He would tell her what he was thinking about this insanity, how stupid his friend was, how he could leave his son to him… He would tell her everything so emotionally she wouldn't be able to hold back her tears. But she would be patient and stay silent.
"He was always this stupid…" Ali started finally. "He was so stupid to befriend that jerk, he was so stupid to fall for that bitch, and he was so stupid to…" Ali clenched his fists. "Did he even think about how would he feel? He just left us… And how exactly should I tell Can that the man he thought was his father killed his mother, then I and his real father let the fake father die and finally his real father killed himself to die with his mother. How exactly should I tell him?"
Ali stopped for a while to wipe the wetness from his face.
"That's what Kerpeten Ali is good for. You don't want to kill? Leave it to him! You don't want to kidnap anybody? Leave it to him! You don't know how to tell the truth to your kid? Leave it to him!" Ali turned to Azad. "I don't think I'm ready for this Azad… What if he starts asking questions before he's ready to know everything? I won't be able to look into his eyes… He looks so much like Ömer… I think maybe this is the last punishment I get for my crimes…"
Azad gently kissed her husband.
"You're not alone in this, Ali. I'm right next to you. Together we can do this. And don't even think this is part of your punishment. Ezel asked you to look after Can because he knew his son will be in good hands. He trusted you."
Ali looked at his wife with those blue eyes of his which told everything that no words could tell. She saw in his eyes every one of his thoughts: he was sad because of the death of his friend but was happy to be so lucky to have a wife like her. A grin appeared on the woman's face as she understood everything his gaze told and she kissed Ali again.
"And now it's time to sleep you big baby" she said jokingly to lighten the mood. "We'll both have a long day tomorrow. We can't be tired."
Ali frowned.
"But Can is sleeping in our bed…"
"And? We can sleep on the couch, can't we?"
For the first time in a long while a smile appeared on Ali's face and Azad knew her husband would be soon alright. They lay down the couch and under the cover they embraced each other knowing that they aren't alone with their grief.
While the couple was sleeping an other couple was found. The man was embracing the woman with love as they were sleeping. But unlike the other couple they would never wake up ever again. They will be sleeping forever in this embrace on the Other World till the end of time.
