This is my first attempt on anything like this so any criticism, good or bad, is much appreciated.

She absolutely hated it, this ache that would not go away in her chest.
She had tried everything, avoiding as much contact with him as possible, ignoring him, even going so far as to avoid any places he might go; but no matter what the feeling stuck. Love, the dreaded feeling that caused your mind to go crazy and think of nothing but the one of your desires.
"Why me." she whined.
"What's got your panties in a bunch." said Bixslow.
"None of your damn business, so get the hell out of my face." That's right, Evergreen the self-proclamed fairy queen had fallen in love. With who might you ask?
"MAN!" That familiar proclamation called throughout the air.
Yes, Elfman the "manliest" guy in Fairy Tail, was the man who had caught her eye. She did not know how, but the idiot had some how managed to claim her heart, and with that came her frustration. Even if she did admit that she loved him, what were the chances of him return her feelings?
"Ever!" Speak of the devil and thou shall appear.
"What do you want Elfman?" Hopefully, he would leave her alone to wallow in self-pity again so she could get over it.
As she turned her head, she felt the unexpected touch of his lips. He had kissed her, she had obviously gone insane, because Elfman had just come up to her randomly and kissed her. As Elfman pulled away she noticed the faint blush that dusted across his cheeks. How unmanly, I wonder what he would think if he could see himself.
"Why did you just do that Elfman?" she said.
Elfman looked down at her face, with a cheshire grin stretched across his lips.
"It's manly to get things that are bothering you out of the way" he said.
She must have been going crazy, because she couldn't have just heard that. He was bothered enough... to kiss her?
She looked at Elfman, glaring at him with all she had.
"You shall be escorting me to dinner later today as repayment for kissing me without permission."
His face broke out into a grin. The one she loved to see, as he realized the meaning behind her words. "Of course it would be very unmanly of me not to suffer the consequences of my actions."
She had already started to walk out of the guild, not waiting for her fellow members to snap out of their shock. She grinned back at him as she walked through the guild doors. Maybe, just maybe, being in love was not so bad. Who knows? She might actually enjoy it.
