Alright, this is my first time posting in the City of Ember section… so… hi. I read all the books except Diamond of Dark hold a long time ago, and I'm reading DoD now. I read ahead (I have a problem with spoiling books for myself), so I know it's hinted that they grew up and got married… this is set around that time.
It's a drabble, exactly 100 words, and the first time I've attempted to get a drabble in exactly 100 words. I hope it's good.
Lina danced barefoot across the green grass, her loose long hair billowing in the wind while her soon-to-be husband watched.
"What are you doing, Lina?" Doon asked with a smile.
"I," she declared, waltzing over and taking his hand, "am thinking about our wonderful wedding, right here on this hill."
"In the sunshine," he added, as this was not the first time they'd had this conversation, and those three words were always included in it.
"In the sunshine," Lina agreed. She smiled suddenly, making Doon's head spin, and threw herself into his arms. "Our lives will never be dark again."
