Arena:
The Day Before:
Life just kept getting worse by the moment. She came home from school, did her homework, did her chores, and then got on the computer to do some extra credit. She is alone for six hours before her father & mother get home from work. She has made dinner & it is in the oven, keeping warm. Her father's rule is that she isn't to eat anything until the rest of the family gets home. But her father had called earlier & told her that she could go ahead and eat because they were going to be late & he didn't want to her waiting up for them to get home. She was in bed when they got home. Her parents looked in on her & then went to eat dinner.
Saturday:
The next day was a Saturday & her father was home all day. They had a nice brunch together, then Arena got on the computer to finish her extra credit work. Her father watched the football game & by the time the game was over, Arena was done with her E.C. work. Her father had been drinking throughout the game. He's drunker then she's ever seen him & before she knows it, he is on her, beating her with his belt. When he is done, she is unconscious in a pool of her own blood.
Seeing what he has done, he tries to clean up the mess. His wife is at her sisters until tomorrow. The car is in the garage. He picks Arena up and & carries her to the garage. He pops the trunk open & places her in the trunk, and then closes the trunk. When the house is cleaned of all blood, he grabs his keys and drives to an ambulance bay & drops her off, knowing she'll be found in time. But he's wrong; he's dead wrong.
