Chapter 1 - Seeing You For The First Time

-Friday-October-5th-2012-
I ran out my front door with a piece of toast in my mouth. I loudly mumble something quickly "tch, stupid alarm clock. Now I'm gonna be late." Good thing I lived close to the school. I ran into the school building and went straight to my shoe cubby. I replaced my outdoor shoes with my indoor ones. As was walking to class I saw my friend Rin. It's obvious she saw me too because she turned around and waved at me. I waved back. "Hey Rin." I rushed over to her. "Good morning Koto." she smiled so warmly. Something that I always see her do lately. It disgusts me. But it's her, my best friend. "Good morning!" I smiled back at her, trying to copy her oh so happy smile. "Ready for class?" She asks. I hear people whispering something as we start walking down the hall. I tuck my hair behind my ear as I try to listen in on them. "Yeah." I say. When we just pass them Ismirk. They have heard about my newest job happening. I feel Rin's stare upon me. I return to the normal look on my face, and look at her. "Are you okay, Koto?" I give her a small laugh and a big reassuring smile. "Yes, I'm just fine, Rin. No need to worry." She sighs in relief. "Good." The class bell rings. "Oh no! We're late!" She takes my right hand in her left one and she starts running. We're both in class 3-A. We caught our breath as we entered the classroom. The teacher wasn't in the room. This was strange. I looked at Rin who was looking around the room. She stopped when she saw a blonde boy in a desk, right next to the window. I never talk to him because he's the popular type and because he'susually surrounded by girls all the time. There was an empty seat next to him. I wonder if Rinwanted to sit there. She shook her head and went to the opposite side where there were three open seats. Rin took the one on the right and I sat in the one in the middle, right beside her. I look over to the blonde boy real quickly. He was staring intently out the window. I didn't notice it until now but he has a black hat covering the backside of his head and the top. What a weird kid. He has this shota-type aura around him, plus he has a baby face. Then finally the door slams open. Everyone flinches but me. Then sensei walks in with her long pink hair flowing behind her. She's clutching her clip-board as usual. Today she has a brighter smile on her face than she usually does. "Good-morning class!" She yells to us cheerfully. "GOOD-MORNING LUKA-SENSEI." Everyone answers back in unison. "I have some good news for you today." She stands in front of her desk. "Today we have a new student. Come on in!" She waves to the person by the doorway. There's a man in an all black suit and jet black hair, looks like a fancy butler, followed by a kid, possibly in his middle teens with dark silvery hair. They both reach the desk and Luka-sensei. "Now would you like to tell them your name?" The kid turns around so we can get a full look at his face. I'm doodling in my notebook right now, and couldn'tcare less about the new kid. Until he said his name. "My name is Ciel. Ciel Phantomhive." I set down my pencil and lift my head to look at him.
