A/N: Hello, and welcome to my first Fanfiction! I just wanted to point out that this Fanfic is based on the Synchronicity Video game by Eiki-kun on DeviantArt, and that I do NOT own Vocaloid! So...enjoy!

"Dinner's almost ready..." A lone woman murmurs, the only sounds in the dark room were the rattling plates, the rain pounding on the thatched roof, and the distant grumble of thunder. With a nervous laugh, she looks out of the small window at the pouring rain for a split second. 'I have the oddest feeling something is going to happen today...something horrible...' The young woman thinks, shuddering at the premonition. Although she tried to remain calm, it was obvious she was scared from the way her soft blue eyes kept scanning her surroundings, and anxious humming soon filled the chorus of nature and the kitchen.

True to her earlier prediction, something horrible did happen. With a loud and reverberating crash, the door smashed into the wall as it was forced open. Intruders stormed into the house, three of them. The woman was about to cry for the guards, stationed in Oryln as the makeshift police force, until she realized...these werethe guards. This much was obvious upon her second glance, seeing the flashing mail, the stiff, military bearing, and the pythoness's crest on their shields. Before she could utter a half-outraged question of their purpose, they revealed their motives themselves. "On the orders of the Pythoness Luka, we have come to seize your female child, on the realization that the previous Dragon Diva is starting to falter in her duties. Resistance to the well-being of the kingdom will result only in the use of deadly force." The largest and most decorated knight, presumably the captain, commands, reading from a scroll as his two lackeys leered down at the cowering mother. "Restrain her and make sure she doesn't try anything while I acquire the infant." He orders the subordinates, heading towards the stairs. The wrists of the crying woman were held tightly as this was going on, and she fell limp, knowing it would only be in vain to try to rescue her child. Silence reigned for a few tense minutes, until suddenly, the shrieking of children were heard upstairs, the typical squalling, sobbing noises that meant a newborn was upset.

The crying continues as the man returns to the bottom room, holding a tiny, newly born female, probably not more than a month old, her chubby face red and wet from crying and bawling (which she was still doing), thick arms and stubby little fingers outstretched, as if reaching for her mother...her brother...anybody who was willing to help her, to save her from this scary man whose armor pinched her skin, and who walked in a way where she was constantly bumped against his arm. She seemed to want the warmth of her crib and her sibling back. After the guard comes downstairs, the two knights release the woman, and start to follow them out the door into the rain, crawling on her knees, the tears mixing with the downpour. "P-please...not her...not Rin.." She whimpers, reaching for tail of the captain's tabard. A sharp report follows the contact with the cloth, as he slaps her. "Silence! Let us be gone, you two. I don't wish to deal with this anymore." He snarls, and they march off, the baby still crying, and the mother crouched in the dirt road, sobbing as well. The neighbors were watching all of this through the window, but just did that. Just...watched. They didn't try to help the woman. For one, their daughters were safe. For another matter, they didn't want to meet the fury of the Empire.
