Chapter One; We Meet Again; Home At Last

Spinelli looked longingly out the window of the bus, watching as her hometown rolled back to her with every inch the wheels creeped.

"Miss S., we wil be there in ten minutes"a girl said, coming up to her smiling.

"Thanks"was all Spinelli could mumble before the girl walked off.

Ashley Spinelli had been living in Paris, ever since the beginning of Fifth Grade. She had made new friends, and a lot of new enimies, but, she had forgotten of her old life. Her young life.

Now, as she stared at the houses and parks of Third Street, she couldn't help but feel miserable, that she had forgotten some of the ebst friends she had ever had...ever...

As she set foot onto the "Third-Street" cement, something beeped from inside her black shoulder bag.

"Yes?"she sighed as she made her way towards her old house.

"Ashley?"Spinelli grinned, unlike her old friends, she had only let her friends use her by her first name. Which scared her to pieces.

"Yes?"The person at the other end snorted, and Spinelli snikkered.

"Duh, can't you atleast remember my voice? It's me! Clemence!"Spinelli smiled.

"Yeah. I know it's you, Clem. But what do you want?"

"Just seeing what's going on with our leetle Ashley!"

"I haven't even met up with the others yet! Infact, for all they know, I'm still in London! And that was how many years ago?"Spinelli had arrived at her street.

"I dunno. But..." Spinelli leant against a tree in frustration.

"Okay, I understand, Clem. But I just arrived home, I'll call you first day of schools...night"and before Clemence could answer, Spinelli hanged up, shoved her phone in her bag, and meekly walked to the front door.

She knocked on the door, not calling out for...reasons.

"WE DON' WANT ANY DAMN DOUGHNUTS!"the door was wrenched open and a man with a moustache, wearing boxers was standing in the doorway.

"Ashley?"he whispered. Spinelli didn't answer, she just hugged him.

"Hun! Come 'ere!"a tall woman with dark brown hair walked over, and hugged her daughter.
