Sent Off
Joel sat inside the room. How did this happen? He had to be sent to a camp in Texas because there was nowhere that they could send him that he could adjust to. He wasn't going to be happy there. And the worst part was Texas was halfway across the world. Joel currently lived in London. If Joel had to go to this camp in Texas in America, he would have to leave his friends, his teachers, his school, everything. Joel was only allowed to take few of his possessions to America. He chose a: TV, laptop, some clothes and a mini-fridge. It would feel sad to say goodbye to all his friends, especially Gary. He said goodbye and went on the next flight to Dallas.
In Cardiff, Wales, Julia was thinking the same thing. Julia had only lived in Cardiff for 5 years now. Julia and her older sister, Beth would go to Texas to a camp. She was nervous about going to Texas. Julia didn't have many friends. Beth had many friends and didn't want to go to Texas. It took a lot of convincing that if Beth spent the whole period in Texas, her mom would give Beth a gift. Julia sighed and packed up her things. Her sister, Beth was complaining as usual.
Beth said "It's so unfair! Why do I have to go?"
Julia knew that being with Julia in Texas would be worse than having to go to Shinginee.
Luke sat at the office. He lived in British Columbia. Luke lived there for 3 years when he moved there from Sydney. Luke wanted to yell "You've got the wrong Luke" but he couldn't. He knew that one way or another, he would be going to the neighbor country of America to camp in Texas in a town called Green Lake or at least what's left of Green Lake. The town was destroyed years ago and they made what was left of the town into a camp for kids. Luke was going to this camp for a reason. Luke's mother was recently fired from her job and had to get another job to take care of her children. The situation had forced people to send to the camp until his mother can recover.
Mindy wanted to stay in Rome but couldn't. Her mom and dad were divorced so Mindy was staying with her aunt in Rome. But the aunt has been sick lately and can't take care of Mindy. The aunt's husband fled to America years ago. The aunt wanted to send Mindy to a camp in Texas until the aunt could recover.
The aunt said "If you see your uncle in America, tell him I said hi."
