What it Is and Isn't
Love is when you want to wake up everyday just to see someone,
Its when you feel an immense comfort in your chest,
Its when your heart skips beats and your breathes become shallow,
Its when their touch makes you melt and their smile makes you laugh,
Its when the mention of their name forms a joyus thought in your mind.
It's NOT when you worry that what you said makes them mad,
When you worry they'll hit you,
When you cry because they withhold their love from you,
When you make a mistake and they never forget,
When they threaten to beat you,
When they tell you they want to harm you,
When they say they want you to leave,
When you have to go to school with sunglasses because you have a black eye,
When you need to lie about where you got that bruise,
When you need to smile when your about to cry,
When you need to hold the pain in or they'll beat you again,
When they tell you, you think your better them then when you don't,
When they hate you and hurt you and torture you but you still strive for their love,
When they make you scared to talk to someone about it because they might go to jail,
When you cry whenever you think of what they have done,
When you accept their apology because you think they will change,
When you make excuses for their actions because you don't want to believe that is who they are.
When you know your in danger because you love them,
When they don't love you,
When they apologise for threatening you and your scared to not accept it,
When they won't explain why,
When they see you as a means to take out their hate,
When you blame yourself,
When you contemplate ending it for the 18 time,
When they break your heart.
