Pain. All I can feel is pain. It hurts all over. I cannot believe this. I refuse to believe this! I don't want to die in a car crash at eleven years old! The shattered glass is digging into me, stabbing me everywhere. in some places on my dying body I can feel splintered bones, twisted at unnatural angles. Whimpering, I shut my eyes as I am crushed from above by something that is slowly skinning me alive. the pain is swallowing me whole. My ragged breaths come in short, sharp bursts. And the pain. The pain is unbearable. My senses are quickly becoming clouded. Then my vision turns to black and there is nothing. Nothing but darkness. With that, i know that I am dead.

The girl wakes with a start, breathing heavily while raking her hand through her long reddish hair. She sighs,'That's the third time this month I've had this nightmare.' the girl thought. Looking down at her old black T-shirt, she noticed a white badge that read '139'. ' Oh yeah, I'm at the hunter exams. Forgot about that, heh.' the red-head thought, giggling sheepishly to herself. A few people that noticed this began to give her odd looks, but she ignored them. Not especially caring what others thought of her. Bored, she began to play with the white dip-dyed ends of her shaggy hair. A while later she looked up when she sensed someone approaching her.

"Hi kid, I'm Tonpa, you're a rookie, aren't you. What's your name?" 'Tonpa' asked with a friendly smile. She automatically distrusted him, as she did with every new person she met.

"I'm Fox." the girl answered in a soft voice, narrowing her eyes at Tonpa. The said man stiffened slightly at the sight of her eyes.

"H-hey whats wrong with your eyes?" Tonpa stuttered, obviously unnerved my her catlike red eye and pearly eye. Fox frowned at this, she was rather proud of her eyes.

"For your information, it's called Heterochromia Iridum." the fiery haired girl answered, deciding that she really didn't like this man.

"O-okay, do you want this juice as a token of our friendship?" Tonpa offered. She cautiously accepted the gift. Fox cracked the can open, frowning. She proceeded to give the contents a suspicious sniff. Quickly smelling the laxatives mixed into the drink, she hurled the can at Tonpa's head. The man barely managed to dodge the can. The furious red-head then turned on her heel and stalked away from the idiot. 'I cannot believe him. Did he seriously think he could give someone who has lived in the forest for pretty much half of her life a can filled with laxatives!? I could smell their putrid scent easily, they weren't even that well mixed in.' she thought half indignantly and half murderously, all while remembering the reason she could smell poisons clearly. Fox accidentally let out a short burst of murderous nen, attracting unwelcome attention from people all around her. 'Oops, I've got to stop doing that. I need to remember that I don't live in the forest anymore.'. Quickly adopting an innocent attitude. She ran off towards the empty space surrounding the elevator that took you to the underground Hunter exam. Quite far away from the young girl was a certain clown and his friend.

"Did you feel that aura too Illumi?~" Hisoka questioned. (A/N: I don't know if Hisoka calls Illumi, Gittarackur or Illumi so I'm going to make Hisoka call him Illumi -.-). Illumi merely nodded in response.

Over in Fox's corner, she perked her head up feeling that somebody was talking about her. That was when the elevator opened and three teens came out.

"Excuse me." the youngest (and greenest) of the motley crew said with a naive grin on his face.
