We Don't Need A Stage To Dance
Really short Dantana oneshot that I got the idea for while watching the danish version of Dancing With The Stars.
Enjoy :)
Santana and Dani were cuddled up on the couch in Santana and The Wonder Twins' apartment. The tv was on, but neither of the girls were paying attention. Santana was running a hand gently through Dani's long blonde hair and Dani was smiling into Santana's chest, both enjoying the domestic feeling of it. Suddenly, something on screen caught Dani's attention. It was a commercial for the show, Dancing With The Stars. Santana looked down to see Dani staring at the screen with a hopeful look in her eyes.
"What's so interesting babe?" Santana asked curiously. Dani let out a soft sigh and as the commercial ended, she finally spoke:
"You know how I want to be a famous singer one day?"
Santana nodded. She had heard Dani talk about her dreams countless times, but she spoke with such amazing passion that it never bored her.
"Yeah?"
"Well, I always imagined being on Dancing With The Stars, killing a samba." She admitted, nervously biting her lip as a blush spread on her cheeks.
"Babe, that's not something to be embarrased about," Santana said with a small giggle, "and I promise you; you'd get them their highest viewers rating ever."
Dani giggled too, burying her face in Santana's chest. Suddenly Santana pushed her away gently, getting to her feet. She walked to the stereo and motioned for Dani to turn off the tv. As she did so she turned on the radio and a slow, sweet tune flowed out of the speakers. She waltzed to Dani's side, holding out a hand invitingly.
"We better have you practice for your big show." she spoke softly.
Dani smiled and grabbed Santana's hand, getting to her feet too. Santana pulled her closer so there was barely any space between their bodies. She started leading Dani around the room, stepping back and forth, from side to side, all in step with the song playing. Dani was smiling brightly as she pushed her body flush against Santana's. She rested her hands around her neck, her cheek resting on her shoulder. Santana inhaled the sweet scent of her girlfriend's hair as she moved her hands to the girl's waist. For several moments they stood like that, barely swaying anymore. Dani tilted her head up, looking into Santana's eyes. There were a soft smile on both girl's lips. Dani pulled away a bit so she could get on her toes and press a slow, loving kiss to Santana's lips. She pulled away an inch, their warm breaths meeting each other.
"I love you." Dani breathed quietly.
"I love you too, little darling."
