Promise

"Master, master!" Little Kuroh ran to Ichigen Miwa. "I found a survivor!"
"Is that right?" Ichigen asked. They were gone to look at a house, which was burned by arsonist.
Kuroh nodded. "Yeah. It's young girl, around my age. She is trapped under dropped roof beam."
Kuroh lead Ichigen to inside of the ruins of house. Inside was little girl with messy (h/c) hair and scared (e/c) eyes. She lay under of beam. When the girl noticed Kuroh coming back with another man, she gasped and tried move away.
"Don't worry" Kuroh sat next to her. "This is my master Ichigen Miwa. He will help you out."
Girl hesitated but nodded. Ichigen lifted the beam away and Kuroh help girl up.
"Are you alright child?" Ichigen asked. Again the girl nodded.
"Sorry, but I never caught your name" Kuroh titled his head.
"I-I am (name). (Full name)" (name) looked at the floor.
"Nice to meet you (name)" Kuroh smiled. "You have beautiful eyes."
(Name)'s head shot up. "R-really? T-thanks." But then she looked around and started crying.
"W-where's m-mommy?" she sobbed.
"I'm sorry but you are only survivor" Ichigen patted her head.
"W-where I go n-now?" (name) buried her face to her hands.
"You can always come with us" Kuroh smiled and held hand to her.
(Name) looked to Kuroh's eyes. "W-with you?" She glanced at Ichigen, who nodded and gave warm smile.
"Okay!" (name) shyly smiled and took Kuroh's hand to her own.

"(Name)?" Kuroh asked when the girl walked to his room in the middle of night. "What's wrong?"
"I'm scared" (name) whispered.
"Of the thunder?" Kuroh chuckled and (name) nodded.
"Can I sleep with you?" (name)'s tone were full of hope.
"Sure" Kuroh nodded and (name) clamp to his bed. The little girl cuddled with Kuroh.
"(Name)?"
"Yeah?"
"If you could choose what color would you be?" Kuroh asked out of nowhere.
"Shiro!" (Name) said happily. "So I would fit with Kuro-kun."
Kuroh laughed. "I'm happy to hear that."
Soon (name) fell asleep. Kuroh smoothed her hair quietly and muttered three words.
I love you.

"(NAME)!" Kuroh shouted to his friend as he ran through the meadow. (Name) looked at him and gave small wave.
"What are you doing?" Kuroh asked and sat to the stamped grass.
(Name) looked back to her lap and Kuroh followed her eye contact.
"Flower garlands" (name) answered and finished second garland.
"They're pretty" Kuroh smiled. (Name) blushed and held one garland towards Kuroh.
"To Kuro-kun" she whispered.
Kuroh looked at the garland before taking it and placing it top of his head.
"Thanks (name). I really like it~" Kuroh sang. "Ne, let's make promise."
"What kind of?" (name) asked quietly.
"Let's promise to be together until the end" Kuroh held out his pinky.
"Together with Kuroh?" (name) titled her head little. "Do you mean marriage?"
Kuroh blushed little. "Y-yeah. Let's get married and then I will project you always!"
A small smile pushed its way to (name)'s lips. "Okay." She wrapped her pinky around Kuroh's.

But those were memories. (Name) sighed. Ichigen-sensei had died a while ago and Kuroh left to fulfill his last wish.
"Huh?" (name) glanced at the darkening sky. "It's freezing again." She hummed and wrapped hands around herself, to block cold winter wind.
Little did her know of pair of eyes watching her, making sure she was safe.
"Just wait (name)" black haired male whispered. "I'll make sure, I'll keep that promise."
(Name) turned around and smiled, like she would have known that Kuroh was there.
