When Kakashi dreams, he does so almost exclusively in black, white, and gray. The only color his subconscious mind seems capable of seeing is red, and while he dreams in a million shades of gray (ranging from white underpants washed one too many times with dark jounin fatigues to charcoal) the red only comes in two; the color of Obito's sharingan and dried blood.
Lately though he's been dreaming of another shade of pale, pale red. And green. Brilliant green.
"Kaka-sensei?" she asks.
He doesn't look up from his book; more afraid of the new colors than the old ones.
