My frist of many Ponyo stories! Each of the stories will take place at a different time! In this story Ponyo and Sosuke are 16 years. And yes Ponyo has braces! I can just see with braces on for some reason.

"Ready to go to the store?" asked 16 year old Sosuke to Ponyo. The red headed girl nodded her head yes.

"I'm ready!" she said happily "And I'll drive!" Sosuke and his mother,Lisa,stopped Ponyo before she could get to the door.

"Ponyo,I think you should let Sosuke drive this time." said Lisa trying to take the keys away from Ponyo. Ponyo quickly took the keys out of Lisa's reach. Despite being only 16,Ponyo was tall for her age.

"No!" said Ponyo "I wanna drive! Please,Lisa?" She gave a puppy dog pout that Lisa could not resist. "Pwease Lisa?"

Lisa tryed her best to resist Ponyo's look,but with no avil.

"Alright,fine!" said Lisa giving in. Sosuke let out a disgress groan. "Ponyo you can drive to the store."

"Yay!" cheered Ponyo

"But,Sosuke drives on the way back." Sosuke smiled at his mother's somewhat smart decision. Ponyo quickly ran outside to Lisa's old car,which Ponyo had painted red. She hopped in the driver's seat and buckled up.

"SOSUKE! Hurry up!" she called out

Sosuke sighed and looked at his mother,who just smiled and gave a shrug. She handed Sosuke a shopping list and then kissed his forehead.

"Be careful." she said

"With Ponyo driving there is no careful." Sosuke said walking out the door "Bye mom!"

Lisa waved good-bye to both teens as they speed off down the road. Lisa had taught Ponyo how to drive and Sosuke hated her for it. He wouldn't talk to her for weeks. Lisa laughed at the thought. She back inside,plopped on the couch and watched TV.

Sosuke clung to the seat for dear life. Ponyo was driving really fast and swirving a quite bit. Sosuke thought they would fly right off the road.

"Ponyo-chan please pay attention to the road!" shouted Sosuke over the loud J-pop music that was playing.

Ponyo,who couldn't hear Sosuke's cries,was to busy singing to the music. Sosuke cut off the music much to Ponyo's dismay.

"Hey!" she whined "I was listening to that!"

"Istead of listening to music you should pay attention to the road!" said Sosuke strenly. He looked ahead and saw a boat coming into port.

"Crap!" he said "Ponyo a boat's coming in!"

Ponyo looked ahead and saw that their was a boat coming in.

"Don't worry! I can beat it!" Ponyo said smiling her braces shining in the sun. She pushed down on the gas and they drove faster. Sosuke clinged tighter to the seat as Ponyo went over the sped limit.

"We're not gonna make it!" said Sosuke

"Oh yes we are!" said Ponyo determined. She knew they could make it. She just knew it!

"Almost there!" she said her eyes locked on the road. Sosuke closed his eyes afraid that they wouldn't make it.

Ponyo made it to the port just before the boat made it to land.

"Sosuke,you can open your eyes now." said Ponyo smirking "We made it across!"

Sosuke opened his eyes and saw that they were on the otherside of the hill. He let out a sigh and then laughed nervously.

'I need to have faith in Ponyo a little bit more.' he thought. Ponyo contiued to drive to the store happily singing the J-pop she had on ealier.
