They lay together, the sheets on the bed covering their tangled legs. His arms were wrapped around her waist, her head on his chest. They were silent as they watched the storm raging outside, the lightning illuminating the figures on the bed, the thunder rolling and crashing, at times so loud it caused the glass in the large windows to rattle, the pouring rain hammering on the roof above them. A particularly bright flash, followed instantly by the loudest peal of thunder yet made her jump.

"Not frightened are you?" Sirius asked as he looked at the witch in his arms. She turned so she was facing him, her side pressed against him and ran her fingers lightly up the muscled expanse of his chest.

"No, I couldn't be when your arms are around me." Hermione grimaced slightly, "Ok, that was a bit cheesy, but you know what I mean." She pressed her lips to his skin, distracted from the awesome display outside by the man next to her. She kissed her way along his shoulder and up his neck to his jaw and finally to his lips. She kissed him passionately then pulled back, a sparkle in her eyes.

"Do you know why I like storms so much? They're so strong, so bold and untameable. Like a man I know." She kissed him again as she finished speaking.

Taking up the challenge in her words, Sirius returned her kiss fiercely, pulling her tightly against him and rolling her so he was covering her body with his own. He shifted his hands to her hips and pushed quickly into her warm willing body. She wrapped her legs around him as he set a fast hard pace. She arched into him, meeting him thrust for thrust as he quickly pushed her towards her peak, rubbing deliciously against her clit with every stroke. Her nails dug into his shoulders, her breasts rubbing against his chest, every movement adding to the intense sensations as their climaxes approached, the storm still crashing outside. Her gasping cry and his rough moan were in perfect harmony with the bright flashes and deep rumbles outside.

Now heedless of nature's display of power outside they curled up and slept, safe from the storm in each other's arms.

A/N Inspired by the storm which woke me at three this morning, this popped into my head while I watched the lightning.
