He walked into the Glee room only to see her sitting there facing the other way.
He thought it was interesting how carrying a little person could change someone so much. Not that he didn't like the new Quinn… it was just different.
She still yelled at him on a regular basis but now it was just because she either wanted more bacon or another chocolate milkshake.
The doctor said that it was normal for her to be so bitchy all the time because of the hormones and other stuff he couldn't remember. She even threw a glass of water at him at 3 in the morning to make him go buy her a stretch mark cream she'd seen on TV, not that he minded. He just nodded and bought her the damn thing because that's all he really had to do. He didn't have to do anything other than just being by her side and he honestly wouldn't have it any other way.
"Hey." he called as he walked to her. She turned her head to him and nodded silently.
"Are you okay?" he asked as he sat on the floor in front of her.
"Yeah… Just thinking about stuff." she said looking at him from her chair.
"I do that too, you know? Think." she sighed.
"What? I have a brain and I like to use it sometimes." he said with a offended look on his face and Quinn gave him a small smile that made his heart skip a beat.
"So listen… As I was saying, I've been thinking about stuff and—" he started.
"I already told you I'm not keeping it, Puck." she interrupted him. He rolled his eyes and glared at her.
"I know you did and I told you I respect whatever decision you make but that's not what I want to talk about."
She frowned and he cleared his throat.
"Look, I had a whole speech ready but I have the feeling you'll be interrupting me every two seconds so I'm just gonna cut to the chase." She crossed her arms and sat up straight when she saw him look for something in the front pocket of his jacket.
"I get it when you say I'm stupid and that I have no future but I think my future's not about getting a High School diploma or a decent job… it's about having you." He had a tiny white box in his hands and he got on one knee. Quinn gasped.
"I know you said you think I'm not gonna be a good father and maybe you're right… I mean, we're young and we're not supposed to know that yet but I do know that I love you Quinn. And that I want us to be together, for real." He never stopped looking at her, but he suddenly noticed the tears running down her face.
"I want us to get married in a couple of weeks, or months or years but I want it to happen because I know we're right for each other. I've never wanted to grow old with someone before because I always thought thinking ahead was depressing and old people kinda creep me out but now… if my future involves you then it doesn't seem so creepy anymore. And besides, I really think we could be awesome parents someday, together. What do you say?" She wiped the tears from her eyes and stared at the unopened box.
"You forgot to show me the ring." She replied softly and he looked at his hands, slapping himself mentally for being so stupid. He was about to open it but she managed to do it first.
"I had to make a lot of cupcakes to buy it and I know it's not a huge diamond but—" she saw the ring and tears fell down her face again.
"It's perfect, Puck." She smiled widely at him.
"Wait. Is that a yes?" He asked. He was sure she would turn him down after all the crap he said.
"Yes, it's a yes." She laughed and he couldn't believe it.
He took the ring and placed it on her finger.
They both stared at it for a couple of seconds but Puck forgot all about it the moment her lips met his.
