Harry James Potter

1. A few months after the battle, Harry casually mentioned to Ron and Hermione that they should go on a road trip because they never got a gap year. Ron hit him.

2. He was always extraordinarily uncomfortable whenever someone brought up his killing of Voldemort. Even though he didn't technically cast the Killing Curse and Voldemort deserved death, he doesn't like the reminder that he had a hand in someone's death.

3. At the time, he thought that using the Cruciatus and Imperius curses were necessary. He feels guilty now about having used both.

4. Harry knew that being an Auror would be dangerous. If he lost a duel and the Elder Wand switched hands, it could be disastrous. However, he'd always been reckless, and he still suffered from his 'saving people thing.''

5. He jokingly suggested the name James Sirius, saying their son could be Fred II's partner in crime. (Fred, who had just learned to throw, had very deliberately thrown a block at his unsuspecting father's head). Ginny thought it was a wonderful name.

6. He never took his kids camping. The sight of tents made him sick. They went with George and Angelina when it struck their fancy, and often teased their poor father about being afraid of the dark.

7. Harry was five when he did magic for the first time. The door to his cupboard unlocked, even though he was certain Uncle Vernon had locked it.

8. Harry loved to climb trees, even though there weren't many in Privet Drive. It was a plus when he realized that Dudley was afraid of heights.

9. He had never taken swimming lessons. His entire water experience came from the lake in fourth year. Ginny fixed that a month after the battle. It took him a little while to get the hang of it, and he never trusted life preservers, but when he did, it was a lot of fun.

10. Harry's Boggart became the Killing Curse after the battle.

This will be a series of headcanons about the Harry Potter characters. Just trying to get my writing juices flowing again. :)
