Done for a challenge. "Beauty is…" I have an idea for this but the other story done for the challenge "in the eye of the beholder" is completely superb and I highly recommend finding and reading it and if my bunny wasn't so strong I'd shy away from this challenge.

Beauty used to be a complicated thing. Such a fickle view she held. One day beauty was the house elves offering her a genuine smile. The next it was a butterfly wandering by the window. Then it was her first view of the majestic Hogwarts castle. Bella in her wedding dress. Lucius staring at her from across the library. The brilliant silver light her wand let stream out of it when she cast her first patronus. The sound and feeling she had when she apparated for the first time by herself. The proud smiles she passed on her way to the alter.
Beauty used to be such a flimsy word Narcissa flung around. Anything and everything that gave her a fleeting feeling of joy or even complacency was labeled as beautiful. It was actually what annoyed others most about her. Her obsession with finding beauty and seeing it in almost everything often made her appear shallow, weak, and stupid. Maybe she was. Who was she to judge that? All she knew now was that up until now, she had gone through her unimportant life in a fog.
Looking down, Cissy realized that she had never truly known beauty before. Sure, things could look or sound or feel or even taste beautiful. Not often was it that something was beautiful, that all those little parts came together to create something that wasn't just beautiful in looks, sounds, or feels, but was beautiful by being. But standing here, still sweaty and exhausted, hair plastered to her face, Narcissa knew she had finally discovered beauty. The blond-haired, blue-eyed, little baby boy in the crib, her baby Draco, was more than beautiful. He was true beauty.

Short, I know. I have inspiration for some more from different characters, but I have the flu right now (so hopefully everything is readable and not too confusing) and I'm just in a haze. I was lucky to get this out, methinks. Anyway. Hope you enjoyed!
