A Night to Remember
ShadowxSnow one-shot
A gray she-cat sat near the lake. StarClan warriors sparkling above her. She was about to become a warrior tomorrow, yet there was still so much to learn. Even with two mentors, Birchfall and Graycloud were both training her, but she was still weak. "What do I do!" she thought out loud.
"Keep trying your best I suppose" a voice meowed, as a white tom with amber eyes appeared out of the bushes. "Hi Snowclaw" the gray she-cat said shyly, giving her white patch of fur on her chest a couple of embarrassed licks. "Hey Shadowpaw" Snowclaw purred.
Shadowpaw had fallen hard for him when her sister, Silverpaw, had stolen Dewtail away from her. "You look lovely under the moon" he complimented her. He padded over and sat down next to Shadowpaw.
"Your pelt is shining with the stars" Shadowpaw shot back at him as their fur brushed. Snowclaw chuckled and started to groom her fur. She loved the way his tongue lapped at her fur. All thoughts of her being weak, of her, disappeared.
Suddenly she saw her future with Snowclaw. She had bared his kits. Snowclaw looked like he would burst with pride and they looked so happy together. Shadowpaw realized Snowclaw had stopped sharing tongues with her.
He was looking at the stars. She was the first to speak. "I love you Snowclaw!" Shadowpaw blurted out before slapping her tail over her muzzle. Snowclaw looked at her, affection sparkling in his eyes. "I love you too" he purred.
They started to share tongues again. The StarClan warriors sparkling brighter, the moon shining brighter above them, this was truly a night to remember.
