Finchel Week 2014 – Day 1 – The Diner
Finn worked in the restaurant for almost a week .
Not by his own will , that 's for sure.
His brother was sick and no one had been able to replace it at work and , not wanting to lose his job , Finn had sent in his place.
The boy ,however, had something better to do on Saturday night, and would have preferred to stay with Puck and his football friends at that new restaurant that opened on 5th street rather than to serve depressed dishes to people he considered even more depressed .
" HUDSON, vegan lasagna to the table 3 , NOW " screamed his head just as the boy was going to break.
Internally cursing, the guy put on his apron, took the plate and walked to the table set .
What I did not expect to see was a young girl with eyes covered by a fringe that was tapping with a pen on the table.
" Is it yours the vegan lasagna ?" he asked approaching the table , but the girl seemed not to have heard him.
The boy then gave him a gentle blow with a finger on her shoulder and she looked up, revealing two eyes red from crying .
Finn jumped
"Hey , are you okay ? " Asked worriedly placing the plate on the table .
She nodded unconvinced moving her hair behind her ear.
" I don't think " he said again
She sighed . " Is just another date to which I have given pit"
he looked at her carefully.
Her hair was brownish and she have two beautiful hazel eyes , the nose maybe wasn't like that of the models but that girl was wonderful.
"Well , you have to know that he is an idiot ," he said , unable to stop, " if I could have a date with someone like you , I would go at least 30 minutes early in order not to be late "
He said, smiling .
" HUDSON, there were few people today , you can go home , and tell your brother that I want it on time on Monday! " Screamed his head off the counter .
The girl smiled .
Finn turned to her.
" Since I have the night off , would you like to go somewhere a bit ' more cheerful ? "
She looked him in the eye before she stretch out her hand and introduce herself .
