It was six months after the Shaman Fight. Yoh sat serenely on the ground next to door of the home that he and Anna shared, staring up at the heavens. He watched them shine through the inky blackness of night with untouched clarity. Cities, oceans, and countries away, the comrades that had sided with him in the Shaman Fight went about their own business under the same sky. He brooded to himself quietly; the Shaman Fight seemed so long ago. It seemed like it had been centuries since he had last seen his friends. He smiled softly; the funny thing was, it seemed the same way with his onii-chan. He knew he shouldn't wish to see his onii-chan again, but he still did. He was still his big brother. He knew Hao was still out there somewhere; but he didn't see any reason to worry about him just yet.

He centered his attentions on the stars once more; his eyes flitting over the freckles on the face of night. He longed for the company of his friends, but he had decided to grin and bear it. He knew his friends bore the same desire as he; and yet, he also knew that some of them hadn't gained enough patience for a full reunion, and that was the only kind of reunion he wanted. His mind told him that some of them hadn't seen each other in so long, that their lust for the familiar companionship had made them fall into despair of ever seeing each other again. He closed his eyes and visualized the faces of his friends. The tips of his mouth curled upwards, the faces in his mind as clear as the stars above. He knew some things were impossible, like eliminating evil, killing humans, and for someone to have no emotions. Other things were very possible, like becoming Shaman King, growing a fuki field, and getting all of his fellow shamans together. But, he rested content with the knowledge that as long as all of his friends and he were still alive, living on the same earth, sharing the same sky, looking at the same stars; then anything was possible.
