Yo! This is my second fanfic, I just always think people pick on Sakura cause she's not as strong as Sasuke or Naruto, so I thought people would respect her more if she were in Akatsuki.

Sakura, Sasuke, Sai, Naruto and Kakashi had just come face to face with Uchiha Itachi. Not a person who looked like him, no this time it was the real thing. Naruto, Sasuke, Sai, and Kakashi just stood there, not knowing what to do. Sakura, on the other hand, walked up to Itachi and very calmly said, "I want to join." If Itachi had been anyone else his mouth would have dropped open.

"What?" He asked. He had not expected this.

"I said I want to join Akatsuki." Sakura said, as if it were the simplest thing in the world, "I see no reason to stay with my friends if I am not strong enough to save them." Naruto was first to react.

"Sakura-chan, what do you mean? Sasuke is back, there's nothing wrong. Please don't leave." Naruto said. He didn't want to lose another friend. Sasuke was back but he would hardly speak to them. Sakura knew that if she turned around to talk to him, she would not want to go, so she stood facing Itachi. 'It's better this way, I won't be bothering anyone anymore.' She thought, blinking back tears, 'for all of us.' Sai stood, unemotional as ever. He simply shook his head. Sasuke walked up to her and went to punch her. Sakura caught the punch.

"You think I came back because you forced me? No, I came back because I realized what I had done wasn't working, that friends were more important than stupid power. You're making the same mistake I did, only your consequences will be a thousand times worse if you go!" He yelled. That was the longest sentence he had said since he got back, no, that was his longest sentence ever. Sakura was only momentarily stunned.

"You know what Sasuke?" She said slowly, "You're very annoying." Itachi smirked.

"Welcome to Akatsuki, kunoichi." He said. He grabbed her, made a hand sign, and poofed off.

"My name is Sakura Haruno, and I prefer you use it." Sakura told the black-haired man. They were now in a building about 300 miles away. The walls were black, and there was almost no light. They had gone through many corridors, and Sakura had no idea where they were. She looked at the man next to her. He was tall, but not really tall. He had black hair that he wore in a ponytail that was worn low and had hair that came to right below his shoulders. He had wrinkles near his eyes, most likely from having sharingan on 24/7. Suddenly, they had reached a door. Itachi reached out and opened it. Sakura had to shield her eyes. They were outside and it was very bright. Just then a voice came from in front of her.

"Itachi-san, I don't think people are on the list of pets we can keep, and you know the rules about hostages." The figure said. He stood up and walked over to them. He was taller than Itachi. He had a faint blush tinge to his skin, and what looked like gills under his eyes. He was smiling, showing all of his rather pointy teeth.

"This, Kisame is Sakura Haruno." Itachi said, " and she would like to join."

Kisame eyes widened, but shook it of and turned to her.

"Ohayo Sakura-chan, you are one of us now." He said and stuck out his hand. Sakura, a little reluctantly, shook it. She didn't know it then, but that was a smart move.

Yes! Done with first chapter! Review please it really helps. Oh and I haven't decided on who Sakura should be coupled with, so you chose. Every current Akatsuki member works, though it might be best if she weren't with Zetsu, seeing as he might eat her. If you vote for the blue haired member, they will be a guy. I don't write Yuri.
