Percy walked in. 'Where's … where's Annabeth?' He asked, realising she wasn't there. He frantically looked around the room panicking. 'Where is she?' He asked breathing in and out quickly.

'She didn't make it.' Nico said and looked down at his shoes.

'What do you mean she didn't make it!' Percy screamed taking a step towards the other demigods who were all grieving. A tear rolled down Percy's cheek. 'She can't be dead. No. No.' He shook his head then sat down and put it in his hands.

He looked up at Nico with red eyes and tear streaked cheeks. 'Why didn't you save her?' Nico didn't reply. 'WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE HER. You could have saved her.' Percy screamed at him.

Nico turned away. 'I tried Percy.' A moment of silence. 'I did everything I could.'

'But you PROMISED' Percy cried. Hazel let out a sob and Piper put her arms around Percy. 'You promised you would keep her safe.'

A beat of silence, then Nico lifted his head with a menacing anger in his eyes.

'Now do you see Percy? What about Bianca? You promised you would keep her safe but you didn't and when I screamed and cried about it you said you tried your best. Well, I tried my best, my very very best but sometimes the best isn't good enough. Do you see how I felt now? Do you see what YOU DID TO ME?' Silence.

Nico's voice was deadly quiet. 'Finally you know how it feels to lose someone you love, to lose your entire world.' He turned away as tears started rolling down his cheeks. 'But maybe you don't fully understand … you haven't lost your entire world Percy. You have only lost a big chunk – you still have friends, family. When you came back without Bianca I was left all alone, I had no-one. I still have no-one but now you can see a small part of how I felt.' Nico turned and looked at Percy then with red rimmed eyes. Nico's face twisted into a sneer. His voice was louder. 'Bianca abandoned me and then you made sure I was left completely alone, you could have looked for me but you didn't. You could have made it easier but you didn't. I HAD NO-ONE PERCY.'
