A/N: I just love these two together! So here we go!
1. The first time Kidoumaru had met Tayuya he had thought she was-well-cute. She had these little pigtails that bounced on her shoulders while she walked, and her dark eyes were wide and innocent looking. However, the innocent feeling vanished when she bluntly stated that he looked like a shit-covered freak.
2. The day that Kidoumaru offered to play chess with her was on her 7th birthday, and had received no presents at all since no one had any money. That chess game had been one of the most challenging-and entertaining-games that she had ever done. It also had made that the best birthday she had ever had.
3. Kidoumaru had gone out for a mission alone and didn't come back for a month when they were ten. Tayuya thought he was dead, and didn't speak to anyone until Kidoumaru came back, which she then hugged him, looked him in the eye, and, to everyone's amusement, slapped him.
4. Kidoumaru denies that this ever happened.
5. They soon gave each other nicknames that only they used-Kidoumaru transformed into Kidou, and Tayuya morphed into Tay. They both decided that they liked them very much.
6. Both Sound shinobi would never forget the day when Kidoumaru asked Tayuya out at the age of 13. After a long, awkward pause, Tayuya accepted, and at 6:00 P.M., they went out to a ramen stand and ate.
7. At 7:00 P.M., Kidoumaru kissed her on the lips, grinned, and went to bed, leaving a stunned Tayuya by her bedroom door.
8. His lips tasted like ramen and mint-a very yummy flavor, Tayuya decides.
9. Exactly one hour afterwards, Tayuya got out of bed and snuggled down next to Kidoumaru. Hell, she decided, if they were going to kiss, they might as well be a couple.
10. Before both shinobi were about to die, they both thought desperately that this isn't the way that they wanted to go, that they wanted to see each other for the last time.
That they could have had their happy ending.
