A/N: This is actually based off of the latest promo for the Twilight movie where Edward develops a very un-American-like accent while filming. I know Robert Pattinson is British, but he could've have tried not to sound Scottish or irish, considering Edward is from Chicago.

Accent
Hiking Bella up on his back, Edward said "Hold on tight, spider monkey," Before bolting off into the trees.
Bella squeaked at the sudden rush and hid her face in his back. After a few seconds of running, she shot her head back up and put her lips on his ear.
"What did you say?" She asked, holding on for her life.
"Huh?" Edward said, not deterring from his course.
"What did you say a moment ago?" Bella replied.
"Um… hold on tight, spider monkey?"
"Edward?"
"Yeah?"
"You are American, right?"
"Obviously."
"Then why do you have a Scottish accent?"
Edward shifted his eyes and replied in his best American accent, "No reason, why do you ask?"
"No you sound Irish."
Silence.
