Chapter 1: Zenn, the great warrior
Perion, a place where most warriors start their journeys of discovering more about the world of Maplestory. This is the hometown of young 12-year-old Zenn. Being so young, Zenn constantly looked up to his elder brother, Ryan, as being the model Crusader. He looked so charming that girls would flock to him in fleets! Furthermore, he was famous and everyone wanted to go hunting with him. However, Ryan would usually give a smile and walk off, leaving them ogling at him while he left. Zenn knew his mum would definitely not give him a chance to be a warrior as she was afraid that he would get hurt. He longed to slay monsters without using much effort and gain popularity amongst people, just like his brother!
How I wish I could become like Ryan, being sought after by so much people!
"Zenn, are you sure you want to spread that much peanut butter on the bread?" Fiona, his mother inquired while ruffling his light brown hair. Being snapped out of his thoughts, Zenn realised he had been spreading a layer of peanut butter, so thick that if you ate it, you would think you were eating peanut butter instead of peanut butter bread. Sniggering, he chomped on it while planning in his mind how he could outsmart his mother and train to be a warrior. Just as he was in deep thought, Zenn thought of a perfect plan! He would dress up as though he was going to play baseball but instead, explore the woods for monsters to kill!
Leaving his hardly-finished bread on the table, Zenn rushed to his bedroom. Getting dressed up for "baseball practice", he informed his mother that he was going to play with his friends and left home. "Do come home for dinner! Don't go wandering around!" Fiona shouted as Zenn rushed off in a flurry.
