How long had it been since he had seen another human being? He now lived in this darkness, a darkness so dark and so deep that it would envelop anything in its path. A darkness like no other. The darkness was never-ending. It swirled around him like all the hate that was pushed onto him, and he accepted it. For he deserved it.

It was true, though. He deserved all the hate in the world, for he had killed hundreds of people just to rule the world for 3 months. Though his killings and his short-lived dictatorship were justified, it still did not justify the killing of Euphemia or Shirley.

It pained him to think about them. He loved them dearly, for they had given him hope for a better world. They were the lights in the darkness that were soon smothered by evil. He would always remember them in his heart.

He didn't know how long it had been since his death since all he could see was darkness. He could hear no sound, could feel no wind on his skin. Only darkness. And he continued to drift in this darkness, for it was his fate.

He had restored peace to the world and paid the ultimate price for it. He would bear every sin that was laid on him and every hateful word that was spoken. The Demon Emporer was dead and the world was finally freed.

If only he could be free.

"It is time to wake up Lelouch." Said a voice in the darkness. The voice was velvety and soft like that of Euphemia's. It was a comforting voice but was laced with a somber tone. Why was she sad? She should be angry at him for what he did to her, but her voice showed no such emotion. It had to be a mistake. It had to be.

"Wake up Lelouch. You need to wake up and face tomorrow for they need you." Said the voice. "You must lead them and help them find peace or the world shall burn."

Why was Euphemia warning him about this? Wasn't the world at peace? Why would they need to find the peace that they already had?

At this, Lelouch began to panic. Had the peace he created been destroyed. Did he die for nothing? It couldn't be true. It just couldn't. He had created peace so people could live for tomorrow. He had done all this to create the world Nunnally dreamed of. Was this all just a lie? Was peace just a lie that mankind created to satisfy itself?

"I thank you, Lelouch, for doing this for us. You saved us from Charles and in turn made the world peaceful. But you must do this over again, for God is not satisfied. You will be given the knowledge of this life to aid you in your journey. C.C. will go with you to help. When you succeed, you will finally earn the gratitude of the world."

Lelouch sighed inwardly. He had to do this all over again. He had created world peace for nothing and now he had to do it all over again. This time, he thought, I will do better. I will not kill innocent civilians, nor will I hurt Euphemia or Shirley. I will make sure of that.

"Go forth Lelouch, and save the world, for everyone is waiting for you."

Hi! This is just a short prologue for a story that I have been wanting to write for some time. It's going to be one of those Lelouch has to redo everything again story. I'm sorry if writing is really bad, I don't write much and when I do, it's pretty bad. Also, I may not post very often cause I'm just that bad of a writer. But anyways, bye!
