It was all over. She just knew it. Eleven was stuck in the Upside Down, no way to get out. All she thought about was feeling Mike's lips one more time, because she was sure she was going to die. Eleven loved Mike, and that kiss felt wonderful. In fact, she had wanted to kiss him from the moment she knew him. But now, she was probably never going to see him again. Some type of monster was bound to come and kill her. She was right. From a distance, she could see a gigantic monster coming towards her. This was the end, she thought to herself. She would never see Mike or any of her newly made friends again. No doubt, she would never see ANYONE ever again. But she tried to stay strong. She stayed as still as she could, willing to let the monster kill her. For some reason, Eleven thought she deserved it. No matter what Mike said, she would always be the true monster. Just as the monster was about to swallow her up whole and end her short life, she felt the best feeling in the world. Mike. It was Mike. He kissed her and hugged her. But then she realized what he was doing. He was doing this, because it would be the last time he would be able to. He was saving her, and sacrificing himself to keep Eleven alive.
"MIKE, NO! I'M THE MONSTER! LET ME DIE!" she shouted. But he wouldn't listen. She kept screaming, no matter what. She would not let Mike do this for her, the monster. The horrible monster, who countless times, almost killed him and his friends. Eleven started sobbing uncontrollably, still screaming. All of a sudden, it was like magic. The surroundings disappeared. She had transported out of the Upside Down. She felt like screaming with joy. She was back in the real world with Mi- as she looked around though, Mike was not there. He was still in the Upside Down with the monster. Eleven cried and cried, just thinking about how this was all her fault and how she would never see Mike again. A few minutes later, she all of a sudden felt a warm hand rub her shoulder. Eleven slowly lifted her head up from the ground. It was Mike! He had somehow gotten out of the Upside Down!
"Eleven, I love you so much. When you got taken, I felt like my life was really ending. Because you're amazing, and I will never stop loving you. I know I already asked you this before you got taken, but I think I need to say it again. Do you want to go to the Win-" Before Mike could finish his sentence, Eleven took HER chance to pull him into a kiss. It felt so wonderful to kiss him again. That was the moment Eleven realized she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life. He was kind, funny, caring, and - she had to admit it - cute.
"I love you too, Mike," she told him, smiling. Mike's eyes seemed to light up like stars, and she could tell he was very happy. Of course Eleven accepted his invitation to the Winter's Ball. Now she could be with him for the rest of her life. He was just perfect. Both of them then realized they were each other's worlds.
