AGO Chapter 1:
New School Year
The city of Townsville was a miserable place at 9:00 am Monday morning as children throughout the city were starting school.
The summer was over and the school year was around again, some students tried to fake illness while others were dragged out of their parents' car at the school car park.
However three extraordinary girls were rather content with continuing their high school year, the Powerpuff Girls had spent their summer cleaning the streets of crime and mischief and were looking forward to a change in their schedule.
Unlike the other students in the school hallway, they were calm and relaxed hanging around their lockers talking about their plans for the school term.
"I don't know, I'm not even sure what I want to enter the contest."
"P-lease Bubbles you've got this Art Expo in the bag." Buttercup replied.
"I just don't want to get my hopes up, although it would be really nice to be awarded."
"I'm sure whatever you enter will be amazing, your one of the best art students in the entire school." Blossom concluded.
The corridor started to fill with more students as some sped round the corner and started joining random groups, clearly excited about something.
The girls noticed a change in some of the students a lot of them perked up, upon the arrival of the new member and girls started giggling more and bouncing around, while the boys showed a more dismissive and relaxed attitude to the conversation.
"What do you think has suddenly got everyone so enthusiastic?" Blossom asked.
"I'm not sure, perhaps there's some new trend." Bubbles replied.
"Nope, not a trend just some new kids joining the school."
The girls turned around to the sound of the voice and brightened up as they saw their neighbour and best friend Robin.
The girls greeted her with a hug and a few greetings before they let Robin continue.
"Yeah apparently there should be a few new students, I'm not too sure who they are or anything about them but that mystery just seems to add to the giggling swarm." Robin explained and pointed towards the crowd of cheering girls that had formed at the other end of the corridor.
"It's surprising that such mundane news would draw such a crowd, who do you think they are?" Blossom asked.
"Probably just some pretty boy losers with nothing better to do than gel their hair and lift girls' skirts." Buttercup scoffed.
"I don't know I doubt such transparent people could cause such a stir, maybe their famous." Bubbles said excitedly.
"I doubt it, I'm sure we'd all know if a celebrity joined our school." Blossom replied.
The crowd's cheers grew even louder causes the girls to the girls to cringe or cover their ears. It would seem the new kids had arrived.
However, no one could have predicted who emerged through the crowd.
"The Rowdyruff Boys!" The Powerpuff Girls looked at each other in shock.
The boys seemed to move in slow motion as they ignored their fans and strutted down the hall.
"What are they doing here?" Bubbles asked.
"Who knows but it's never too early to beat up lowlifes." Buttercup clenched her fists.
"Prepare for anything." Blossom instructed
But nothing happened, the girl's tense positions dropped as they lowered their fists and shoulders, gawking as the boys ignored their existence and just walked past.
The boys didn't even look their way and soon enough had turned the corner, out of sight with students trailing behind.
The girls didn't even have time to think as the bell rang and they rushed to their first class.
