Mercury
Raven couldn't believe it.
She was sitting on the couch, curled up with her head in Beast Boy's lap, twirling a strand of hair around her finger and thinking intensely. Her dark blue eyes were shut, and her lips were pressed into a straight line. She heard Beast Boy whimper softly, and obviously he was trying to figure out what was wrong.
Pressing her hand against her still-flat belly, she opened her eyes and stared up at him. His green eyes were glittering with mixed emotions of fear and excitement, and his handsome pointed green ears were twitching. She muttered. "What if I'm not ready for this baby?"
"You are, Rae. And you'll have everyone backing you up."
"How am I going to tell the others?"
He brought her up so she was leaning against his chest, the top of her head nestled under his chin. He whispered gently. "You can tell them when you're ready. You'll know."
They sat in silence for a few moments, breathing slowly.
"Hey, Beast Boy?" She spoke.
"Hmm?"
"I'm glad you're the father."
