I wasn't supposed to be there. No one was. I was just a quiet person who just what she was supposed to, and some overtime on occasion. That night was one of those days. I left the office that I worked at, and I heard yelling from the ally across the street,

Outside the Worldwide News Office, 1:38 AM 1/29/15

"You think you could've gotten away with taking Braginski's money?!" As a tall blond man, slammed a much smaller man into the wall. The man cowered and whimpered, and held his hands up as he said,

"No-a please! I am trying to come up with-a the money-a! I would-a have already paid-a him-a back-a, but he keeps-a charging interest! I can't-a even keep up-a! Please don't-a kill me-a!" The reddish-brownish haired man begged. I started to dig through my purse for my phone, but there was so much junk in there. It was like an abyss. I was hurriedly searching for my phone, but my attempts were futile once I heard,

"He's given more than enough time, and guess what?" The tower of a man leaned into the Italian man's ear, and said, barely loud enough for me to hear,

"Your time is up." A knife was jammed into the shorter man's throat, as blood spewed from his neck, choked, gurgling sounds escaped his mouth, as he fell to the ground. I hid behind a car, and covered my mouth.

'He's dead...' I lifted my hand out of my purse, phone in my hand.

'Because I wasn't fast enough. I'm so sorry.' I turned to look at the man who was still in the alleyway, looking over the dead man's body. Right at that moment my phone had to ring.

CHIRRRRRRP CHIRRRRRRP

"Shit!" I growled. I knew he heard me. How couldn't he? I saw him step out of the shadows of the alleyway and I got a good look at his face, I took a picture of him quickly, before reading the text that someone sent me.

"(Name) are seriously working overtime again? You know that you need to sleep more, after what happened the last time. Come home soon, okay?" It was my roommate (Roommate Name), she was my best friend. I quickly sent her,

"I don't know if I'll make it home, just send this picture to the police okay, he just killed someone outside in the alley across from the office. If I don't, I love you, goodbye." I shut off my phone afterwards.

"I know you're out there, just come on out. Let's make this quick." I looked down the street there were cars leading down to the end of the street, if I could get there without him noticing, I make a run for it. The precinct was only 5 blocks down I took off my heels on shoved them in my bag. I was crouched, and I waddled past the cars, and then I started crawling, until I reached that last car, obscuring me from his view, I took a deep breath,

'Here goes nothing.' I jumped up and took off running.

"Get back here, you bitch!" I knew he was running after me, but I had a good chance, if I could just make it. I felt glee wash over me as I ran across the road between the first and second block to safety.

'Four More.' A throwing knife whizzed past me and landed on the ground, as I ran past it, with my gloved hands I picked it up.

'The more evidence against you, the better.'

"Fuck!" He growled a few paces behind me. I pushed my legs to move faster, 2 blocks to go,

'Maybe I actually can make it...I can actually make it.' I didn't care about the sharp rocks digging into the soles of my feet, nor the dirt and grime collecting on them. I could see the station in sight, a smile came over my face, as I came closer and closer to the doors. But, I was tackled to the ground.

"Help! Someone, please!" I managed to get out before I felt pain in my stomach, I looked down in my hand and saw it was empty.

'He stabbed me.' He pulled the blade out of me and held it over me,

"Should've just walked away, or, better yet, just have come with me, Mr. Braginski would've loved a new plaything." I was losing consciousness, the last thing registered was a blurry face and voice saying,

"Are you-" Then darkness.
