" Ally!"
" Yeah dad?" I call from my music room. My dad returned from a music convention 2 days ago, and recently told me of some "big surprise" he has planned. I hurry downstairs to find Austin tuning a guitar.
Hey Ally! What's up?" he asks. " I was hoping you'd tell me." I reply. I look around for my dad, but I don't see him. Hmmm... " Austin, have you seen my dad?" I ask. " You mean before or after he asked me to autograph his saxophone?", he asks me with an eyebrow raised. " Guess who got a job at the water park?" Trish says, coming in with her shoes soaked. " What happened to you?" I ask walking over. She gives me a small smile. " It's, uh, my first day..." She removes her shoes and tilts it so that water pours out. " And probably my last. If I knew keeping kids from making water balloons would be so hard, I wouldn't have signed up!" She sighs. I shake away my questions. " Hey Trish, have you seen my dad?" She taps her foot in thought for a moment. " Oh yeah! I saw him on my way here! He was with a little girl. I hope he's not taking her to the park. The supervisor isn't there today! Or maybe that was my job..." I give her a questioning stare. A kid? Just then, my dad walks in slowly. " Dad! Where have you been?" I ask him. He gently takes me shoulders. " Ally..." A girl with auburn hair and brow eyes, looking to be about 12 or 13, carefully walks in, looking around the store with big eyes. Uh oh. This can't be happening. It can't. Can it? " Meet your new sister, Nikki." It can.
