"Just stand still, idiot," Hanai snapped, grabbing Mihashi by the front of his coat. "You keep missing the button," he said while jerking the coat completely open. Start from the bottom and work your way back up slowly."
"O-oh okay. I can do it then, Hanai-kun," Mihashi said, his hands fluttering around Hanai's as he tried to take over for him, but Hanai batted his hands away – he was already at the last button, right at Mihashi's collar bone. Hanai then grabbed Mihashi's scarf from a nearby table and carefully wrapped it around him. After fussing with the scarf for several minutes, Hanai stepped back and admired his handy work.
"There," he said, brushing down Mihashi's sleeves.
"You're such a girl, Hanai."
"What?" Hanai spun around to face Abe, who was smirking, and a giggling Sakaeguchi.
"Thank you, Hanai-kun!" Mihashi blurted. Hanai turned back around and blushed when he saw Mihashi's beaming face.
"It's nothing," he mumbled.
"Come on, Mihashi," Abe said, pushing past Hanai to grab onto Mihashi's left arm. He began to mess with the scarf with his other hand, adjusting it to his liking, his fingers gently brushing the nape of Mihashi's neck.
"Okay, Abe-kun," Mihashi said, his face glowing. Hanai was left there, annoyed and still blushing, as he watched them walk away, out the door into the January chill. He could plainly see the look of adoration on Mihashi's face.
"Let's go, mommy," Sakaeguchi said.
"What did you sa-hey!" Hanai was cut off when Tajima pushed him playfully.
"I'll beat you outside," Tajima said, grinning, and scrambled around Hanai towards the door.
"That's cheating," he shouted, running after Tajima, his own scarf flapping in the wind.
