Lily smiled when she found her mum in the kitchen. Ginny was putting the finishing touches on dinner.

"Mum," Lily made sure her sweet face was on. Ginny turned to look at her fourteen daughter.

"Yes, Lily," Ginny saw the face that her daughter face.

"There is this party and I was wondering if I could go," There was hope on Lily's face.

Ginny took a sigh. "No," There was a look of shook on Lily's face.

"What? Why?" Lily asked. It was hard for Lily to hear no. Lily was mostly a good kid there were times like this that Ginny and Harry hated the most.

"One you are only fourteen, we don't know where you are going." Ginny turned back to the meal she was making.

"People are expecting me to be there," Lily whined. Ginny sighed.

"I don't care. You are not going." Ginny could feel the anger in her.

"Mum," Lily groaned.

"Lily," Ginny said back. Lily had her hands in a fist. "You are not going and that is final." Lily wanted to say something but Ginny gave her the mother look. Lily turned on her heel and walked out of the room.

"What was that about?" Ginny turned to see Harry standing in the backdoor.

"Your daughter wanted to go to a party and I said no," Ginny handed Harry some plates to put on the table.

"Ah, so we get to watch the front door." Harry said.

"Yep, I am James Potter's mother after all," Ginny smiled.

Lily paced her room. She had to get to that party. She was going to have to seek out of the house tonight. She could enlist her brother to help but she couldn't. He would know that she was going to the seventh year party and he wouldn't help her.

She waited until she thought that her parents were in bed. She tiptoed out of her room and down the stairs. She saw all the lights were off as she made her to the front door. She unlocked it and opened it.

"You should have used your window or the backdoor," Ginny said.

Lily let out a scream and turned to see her mother in her bathrobe with her arms crossed. "Mum, I thought that you were sleeping." Ginny shook her head.

"How did you know?" Lily asked. She had to know.

"I am James Potter's mother, I know all." Ginny smiled. Lily sighed and made her way around her mum and up the stairs to her room. Ginny followed.

James Potter opened his window and got on his broom. He laughed and was gone. "James Potter, does it again."
