Title: Everything Reminds Me of Her
Author: Sparkling Diamond Satine
Summary: A songfic for Good Will Hunting. I was dismayed by the lack of GWH fics so I HAD to write this one! It's using the song "Everything Reminds Me of Her" by Elliot Smith with what made Will leave Boston to find Skylar.
Disclaimer: I do not own Good Will Hunting, that's reserved for our favorite screenwriters and the director and stuff.and Elliot Smith owns the song. So pretty much all I own about this fic is the idea and what's in writing :P Please don't steal anything! It's against the law to steal ^_^
Rating: PG
~*~*~*~*~*
I never really had a problem
because of leaving
but everything reminds me of her this evening
~*~
Will threw his bag on the bed after the interview and looked at his lone picture of the girl. He looked away, for it was too painful to look at. He thought he didn't really love her, but now he was having second thoughts. He looked at the many books littering his unclean room and for the millionth time Skylar's face smiled down at him, taunting him, asking him to coffee, or for caramels, just anything that will drive him mad.
~*~
so if I seem a little out of it, sorry
but why should I lie?
everything reminds me of her
~*~
He lied back on his bed and fell into a dream; a very chilling image it was. Skylar hovered above him; she was huge, and he small.
"Why didn't you come to California with me? We could've had so much fun together!" she yelled at him.
Will crumbled back in fear. Why was he so scared? It's not like anyone has been able to intimidate him before, except maybe his ex-therapist. He woke up covered in sweat and checked his watch. An hour until the same thing that happened every day would take place. Chuckie would come over in his car, and he would sit in the front seat. They'd go to the batting cage and drink beers all day. All this sounded so boring next to what he could be doing in California.
~*~
the spin of the earth impaled a silhouette of the sun on the steeple
and I gotta hear the same sermon all the time now from you people
why are you staring into outer space crying
just because you came across it and lost it?
everything reminds me of her
everything reminds me of her
everything reminds me of her
~*~
Will knew what he had to do, so he took the address of Sean, his ex- therapist, and wrote a quick note. He couldn't stand to hear the same thing from Chuckie every day at work. He had to make Chuckie's dream come true for once. He would leave the trashy place he called home, and he would "see about a girl" as he remembered Sean saying. So he took off in the new car Chuckie and his friends gave him for his birthday, and he drove down to the apartment building. Will took one last look at Boston before putting the note in Sean's mailbox, and then zoomed off into the setting sun.
