Kurt flitted in between muggles to get to the platform, dodging overzealous kids and grandparents. Kurt rolled his eyes as Finn tried to balance everything onto his trolley. "Finn, why do you even need three trunks?"

Finn glared at him, "Says the dude with four of them."

Kurt glared back, "Yes, but I have important things in mine, for skin care. What could you possible bring?"

Finn shifted guiltily, "Nothing, don't worry about it."

Kurt's eyes narrowed, "You packed a suitcase full of candy and snacks didn't you?"

Before Finn could try to retain his innocence, Carole intervened, "Boys, it's almost time, go ahead and go through, your father and I are right behind you!"

Finn went first, barely able to run with all the weight on his trolley. Kurt and Carole both shook their heads in fond amusement. Kurt sighed, and ran through the wall.

Blaine stiffly walked to the platform, his father glaring at his PDA beside him and his mother riffling through her handbag. His father stopped short of Platform eleven."Sorry Blaine, I have unavoidable business that I need to get to right away."

Blaine internally sighed, "Alright, father, thank you kindly, for taking me this far, you've been most gracious." Blaine s father nodded, and turned on his heel to walk out of the train station.

Blaine's mother sighed beside him, "Sorry Bambi, I need to go too, the girls are asking for new designs; I can t stick around here all day. Will you be alright?"

Blaine forced down the hurt. "Sure, of course mother, I know my way around."

She nodded and headed back the way they came.

Blaine walked slowly, trying to repress the feeling of depression he always got near his parents. He finally reached the platform, and ran through the wall.

As soon as Kurt makes it through, he's shoulder-checked into the wall.

Karofsky leers at him before laughing with his Slytherin peers. Kurt rolls his eyes and massages his throbbing shoulder.

Carole burst through behind him with his father in tow. She looked concerned at his wince.

"You okay? What happened?"

Kurt just shook his head, "stumbled on the landing, and bumped my shoulder."

Carole nodded, seemingly placated. Kurt's dad started to help him with his luggage.

"Alright Kiddo, looks like that's everything."

Kurt nodded and threw his arms around his dad's neck, "Love you, Dad."

Burt squeezed him back, "Love you too Scooter"

Kurt grimaced at the name and climbed into the train carriage. His face was immediately full of dark chocolate curls. He grinned and hugged the girl back,

"Hey Cedes." Mercedes grabbed him by his hand and pulled him through the corridor, both of them towering over the small first years who looked at all the compartments in wonder.

Mercedes finally finds an empty compartment out of the packed ones and shuffled inside, to Kurt's dismay, Karofsky's compartment was directly across.

He ignored the eyes on the back of his neck and sat near the window, as far away from the door as possible. He was so ready to be at Hogwarts.
