Every single heart-beat was one of pure agony, a collection of unheard wails came from Honeyfern, but they would classify as insanity sounds. The vicious and dangerous, not to mention seemingly poisonous snake's bite was harsh, cruel, and dug into her flesh, ripping in her shoulder, leaving a trail of red behind her, which began to boil and ooze. Did she, in fact, kill the enemy, the one of the snake? Was this brown tabby, rather beautiful she-cat going to die in vain, for Briarkit to be killed by the exact thing that had taken her soul? These were the last anxious and worrying questions that flooded her mind, as if RiverClan was guarding it's water, piece by piece until it couldn't be held for another heart-beat. Indeed, a cat did happen to hear her mumbled words of pain, the ones that came out as a scream could shake the lake if they chose to, but remained ever so silent to the others, only reopening the wounds once more.
A scent of herbs blasted into her nose, it was sweet, but had a tang to it. Was Leafpool or Jayfeather coming to her rescue at last?
Save me! Please! Do anything at all!
"The snake has done it's damage. Poison is going through your body, Honeyfern. I'm sorry, you're going to die." As soon as those quiet words registered, a burning feel took hold of her body, Honeyfern felt herself in a raging fire, the dawn and the twilight of two things; her death and her living being. Help me! It's on fire... Someone! Any cat at all! Did she speak it? Maybe, maybe not. Did she properly say it like that? Honeyfern's twisted and mangled mind, beginning to gnaw blocked any other thought at all. They disappeared.
The raging fire ended. Honeyfern's life began to melt like ice. Her body began to die down into something that could be called leaf-bare's harsh weather.
Only a soft, but enchanting none the less, could be heard. It stroked her heart with so many things, even if the venom had reached it's way and destroyed it, bit by bit.
Berrynose's creamy, however blurred shape was grooming the oozing wound, then spoke finally.
"'We would have had wonderful kits together. Just as strong and beautiful as you."
Goodbye.
"Every cat in StarClan will honor you."
