The Rise

Small and frail, fighting the earth,
battling his way along unheard;
always silent, always quick,
travelling over stone and stick

Abandoning all he's expected to be
desiring more, than what they can see;
swears and curses pave his farewell
their voices will linger, their hate impel

Taller and older blocking his way;
but age and wisdom, won't lead him astray;
by all means walking a path
filled with victims of endless wrath

Fighting whatever wouldn't obey,
sorrow and pain is what he conveys;
smoke fills the air that he brings
ash and ruins his, his sacred things

Growing so fast, almighty almost,
roaming the land, coast to coast;
becoming a legend along the trail,
no longer small, no longer frail

Feeling so close, hearing destiny call,
now he will bring the light to them all;
no one ' ever gonna forget
he will teach them all to regret

Finally he's reaching his peak,
wise and old begging at his feet;
forgiveness forgotten, no mercy for them,
cowards and heroes will all suffer the same

Destruction all over, collapsing in peace,
now he can reach for his own release;
burning so high, shining so bright,
bringing the wasteland his final light
