ask yourself what makes you come alive.
And then go and do that.
Because what the world needs are people who have come alive."

Darkness. That's all that she could see: darkness. Her last memory was
screaming to her father to watch out for the intoxicated driver heading straight for them... then darkness. She was getting sick of darkness.

"Kanawari-san, there's a patient in room 205 that requires your attention." a nurse said, handing a clipboard to a young doctor. Looking through the files on the clipboard, the doctor nodded before heading to room 205.

"... and you all will be required to do at least ten community service hours." Groans could be heard all around the class as the teacher continued with his assignment. "Now, you can all choose to either help clean up the local park, help at the nearby orphanage, or visit with patients at Kobe Hospital. You all can have separate things, and I'll need your decision before the weekend. Is that clear?"
An echo of 'Hai, sensei.' was heard throughout the class. The teacher nodded his head before dismissing the class two minutes before the bell.
Mihara Oujirou gathered up his belongings as his 'fan-club' gathered around him. He smiled amiably before leaving the class, pondering what he should choose. They were all very good choices, but something inside of him told him to choose the hospital. He didn't know why, but the decided not to question it. Walking along the streets of Kobe, his fan-club trailing closely behind him, he left the subject l ong enough to decide that he would go to Tokyo and pay his brother a visit. He then unconciously went towards the train station, once again pondering on what to do for his community service project.

"What are her vital signs, nurse?"
"All seem good. She has a few scrapes and bruises and her left ankle is fractured, but other than that, she's fine. I wish I could say the same for her family. They didn't survive the crash." the nurse said, head bent in remorse.
The doctor nodded before reviewing the clipboard once again. "What are we going to do with you, Hoshikawa Kaida-san?" he asked the ebony haired girl laying motionlessly on the hospital bed.
