Summary:

During the Wizarding Wars, the McGonagall's always defended the defenseless along with Dumbledore, and a good number of them have perished that way as well. The death of Peter and Penelope McGonagall in 1998 are no exception, but they have left a cruel consequence, leaving their child, Winifred behind. Minerva McGonagall taught Winifred for many years and they have a strong relationship, and now Minerva McGonagall is Winifred's legal guardian.

Winifred, though a Ravenclaw, was very loyal to Dumbledore's Army that 1997-1998 school year, she was in her sixth year at the time, and wasn't afraid of the consequences. When her parents were murdered by Death Eaters, it only gave her more strength to carry on and avenge her parents. She fought in the Battle with many others, and is now, like everyone else who fought, whether alive or dead, a War Hero.

The new fame brought to the Hogwarts heroes was very large, and your name was known throughout the Wizarding World, and it was an honored name. Yet with fame, comes a price of dealing with media like the Prophet photographers and interviewers, and also Witch Weekly even drew their eye to any witch who fought in the battle.

But Winifred was ready to start her last year in school without the worry of Voldemort or Death Eaters hanging over her head. Winifred was ready to see how her great aunt would turn out as a headmistress.

But one night, Winifred discovers that there is a new evil rising from the ashes, and when she learns more about this evil, she builds herself an alliance. But her alliance alone can't tackle the evil, she will need the help of the Hogwarts Professors, and of course, the Golden Trio.
