The Pirate Lass
I will tell you of that fateful day
When a young woman decided to change her ways
She lived in a proper town
Where women were forcefully bound
In tight corsets and lace
But she knew it was not her place
One day she decided to run
Run from this life of propriety
Run from the home she knew to explore the Caribbean Sea
But as she decided to run she was thwarted by a man
Not just any man a pirate
Though she knew the pirate tales of danger and daring
Of treasure bearing
She did not run, she couldn't, she was caught off guard
All she could do was lay
Though he showed no dismay
All he did was smile
Her staring all the while
And as the stars shined above
She felt she was in love
But then there was a loud crash
And away he needed to dash
But before he flew
He knew what he needed to do
He placed his lips upon her own
And before she knew it away he had flown
But he turned around and said to this lass
That he would find her after some time passed
And then he went
And then she ran
And then she spent the day thinking of her pirate
And then she became one herself
This pirate lass
