Prologue~10 years earlier~Max POV
It had been about 10 years since Fang left the flock, and about 5 years since I saved the world, of course with the help of my flock (minus Fang). Ever since we saved the world, we've been able to relax, because we don't have to worry about Erasers, evil scientists/doctors, Flyboys, M-Geeks, and any of the other people who wanted us dead or captured. These past five years, I've been going out and searching for Fang, leaving my flock at our newly rebuilt house with Iggy in charge (did I mention Iggy got his sight back after a few years), and Angel as his second-in-command. The rest of the flock told me to just wait 10 more years, when I was supposed to meet Fang at Lake Mead, but I didn't listen, if there was any way I'd find him before hand, I'd do whatever it took. Soon I gave up searching everyday, and decided to just wait 10 more years. So, to pass the time I would read Fang's blog (which I'm shocked he still updates), and I would sit on my bed and re-read the letter Fang wrote to me, and eventually cry myself to sleep when night came around.
Prologue Part 2~5 years earlier~Max POV
(five years after the previous 10 years)
I've been checking Fang's blog weekly (because he updates it weekly, nowadays), when a particular blog post caught my eyes. It read,
Max, if you're reading this, (and I know you are *smirks*) I know you've been searching for me, you've even passed over me before, but you didn't see me, because I was in a tree. But don't worry, I haven't forgotten where or when we're supposed to meet (and I hope you haven't either). Oh, and Max, I love you, I miss you, and I can't wait to see you. Just five more years (exactly from this day) to go. Also, congrats on saving the world, I knew you could do it. *smiles*
~Love,
Fang.
'Wow' I thought to myself. Fang wrote a blog just to me, and it's good to know he misses me too. I really do love him, don't I. I'm sure he knows that he was the motivation that pushed me to save the world, and it means a lot that he believed in me. So, pushing all other thought aside, I decided it was time to hit the hay, since it was getting late. And I went to sleep with a smile on my face and my whole body full of hopes and excitement. My last thoughts were, 'Just five more years, Fang...'
