The moment Alex got home after helping Detective Wheeler solve a "cop killer" case, the first thing she did was to check on Bobby. She and Bobby had gotten together shortly after they quit denying their love for each other.
The moment she got to hers and Bobby's room and saw Bobby was somewhat asleep, she let out a sigh of relief. His mother's passing was exceptionally hard on him. When Frances passed he had tried to push her away she showed she was here to stay. She shed her work clothes and put on one of Bobby's gigantic t-shirts and crawled into bed and wrapped her arms around his waist.
Bobby awoke and smiled; he was glad that Alex was home, he missed her even if it was only a few hours to help out on a case.
"Hey how did it go? Did you catch the suspect?"
"Yeah we did, we managed to get Patty Trebay's mother to lure her out and arrest her but not without her trying to run and putting up a fight first."
"I have told you how amazing you are?"
"You've told me many times Bobby," replied Alex smiling into his back.
Suddenly he turned around surprising her and engulfing her in a warm hug.
Before long both their unique scents had helped calm them and eased them to sleep.
