The Prophecy

This is a look at what might have happened just before Harry’s parents died. Any use of original wording from the books is just to remind everyone of what I am writing I do not claim any of the caricatures, names, places, spells or anything else as my own

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..."

"Master… There has been a prophecy stating that the one with the power to vanquish you will be born at the end of July". Groveled a very thin young man with long greasy hair. "Excellent" said a man with slightly un-human features and a voice that sounds more like a snakes hiss. "But My Lord I am confused how is this excellent, this is the one who will try to take you down!" exclaimed the groveling greasy young man. "YOU DOUBT ME, YOU THINK THAT A SNIVINING LITTLE BRAT CAN DO HARM TO THE GREAT LORD VOLDEMORT!" exploded the second man. "No my lord, no… I could never doubt you, I don't pretend to share the same level of wisdom as you my lord. I am but a lowly servant hoping to understand why this news has made my master happy." "Can you not see even in your inadequate brain that it is good to have this news at such an early hour? Can you not see that it is much easer to take care of this little nuisance before he becomes potentially dangerous to our plan?" Voldimort said in the same sort of voice you would use when explaining something to a toddler. "Oh you are really of little use to me. Maybe I should just dispose of you and rid myself the trouble later." He stated more to himself. "But master…" Snape started but was cut off with "CRUCIO" as Snape writhed in the floor Voldimort laughed!

Meanwhile at the headquarters of the Order Of the Phoenix James Potter was preparing to take his pregnant wife home. Lilly was insisting that she was quite capable of seeing herself home and that he was needed where he was. "I have finished all of my work and anything else that might come up will be handled. You need rest and a good meal…"James was saying as Lilly cut him off "You are one of the most irritating, stubborn…" she was cut off too with a kiss. "I love you Lilly, Just let me do this it is not safe."
